Likes
- one of the first thing i noticed when i first entered my college was greenery. their are trees and grass everywhere and at every path
- infrastructure is very good compared to other colleges in that area
- it have all short of cultural events and programs to keep the student active and fresh
Dislikes
- this college have a lack of professors, mostly teachers are scholars who are not that good or experienced in that field
- non teaching staff don't know how to behave with students. they shout and talk rudely with them
- the canteens don't have a sitting area so you either have to eat while standing or you will have to eat somewhere else.
Course Curriculum Overview
For curriculum, my course has lab classes 2 days a week each one is of 2 hours. For the first 3 semesters, it was not that good they used to send us to the lab and then do nothing more than that but after the 3 sem, they started putting more effort and started teaching us stuff that is important in real life, not just theory. For improvements they can start with being more strict on the lab attendance and increase the days in a week for lab. as for exams they should improve the timing of exams some students live far from college so it takes them an hour or two to reach the college and sometimes they start the exam too soon or sometimes they end it too late which is problematic for many students, they should keep it in between not too soon or not too late.
Fees and Financial Aid
when i took admission the fees for odd sem was around 20,000 rs. and for even sem, it was around 23,000 rs. but in the second year they increased it to 22,000 and 25000 respectively i don't know why they did it because nothing changed between those 2 years it was already too high compared to other colleges and they increased it more. they do have scholarships but I didn't applied for any so i don't know much about them. and there are no job roles inside the campus that you can do to support your studies.
Campus Life
they have a lot of annual festivals such as flower fest, sport each, etc. and all types of programs held by different departments each month have at least one function. As for the library each department has its own and there is a central library for the whole university. they don't have all the books which you will need but they have most of them. classrooms have good lighting but they don't have good air conditioning. most of the fans are either broken or slow. the college does provide us with many sports and extracurricular activities, I never participated in one so I can't tell you in detail about it. They don't have any clubs as far as I know but there are Instagram pages that provide you with information and news and there are groups on WhatsApp that really help with notes and exams.
Admission
i applied for this college in 2022, but they didn't take the entrance exam that year I got selected based on my 12th result but they do have an entrance exam held by the university after 2022. you can apply directly from the university website they do have reservation benefits when I applied they had a specific number of reserved seats for students( s.c, sport, another state, etc)
Faculty
They have scholars as teachers who don't have experience in that field, just because you have knowledge about a subject doesn't necessarily mean you are a good teacher in that subject as well. when you have any doubt or you don't understand something, sometimes the teachers try their best to teach again or clear your doubt but sometimes the teacher just ignores you or says something like I just taught you how can you not understand this easy concept.
