Course Curriculum Overview

As far as choosing mechanical engineering is concerned,it was completely my area of interest and the futuristic scope it carries.The course curriculum is designed as per the competitive examinations and all the subjects make my core knowledge strong.The only demerit I face is that the faculty could be a little more precise in delivering their lectures And providing the notes. In each semester,two mid semester exams takes place at the gap of 1 month and then the final semester. Alongside practical exams and viva also takes place.

Internships Opportunities

Students can apply for internship in many companies. Some of them companies for internships in mechanical engineering are mahindra, reliance, tcs, cognizant. These internship program provides learning experience as well as money too.

Placement Experience

From 7th semester the students become eligible for campus placements but some companies also hires the students in mid of 3rd year. In the year 2022-23 a total of 53 students. Almost 80 percent students were placed. Some companies are L&T, Havells, Samsung engg, hero, etc. Highest package of 36 LPA and average package of 9.3LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure include tution fees of 75000 and extra maintenance fees of 60000 which makes total 135000.Besides all these hostel fees for each year is 61000 (mess fees included). Schloraships are also provided with specific terms and conditions. Up scholarship are available which are provided for the ones who are eligible. Amount range from 55k to 65k for general category.

The name of annual and technical fests are hunkar related to literature,technika related to technical field, and aagaz related to sports. Most of the books are present in our college library from where we can issue it free. Besides course books many other books like scientific, philosophical, and magazimes are also available in our library. Classrooms have ac and fans. Sports are available for both boys and girls like badminton, football, basketball, volleyball and e sports are also available. Students self made clubs are also available like.. Aeroclub, autorob, ocatve(music club), groove(dance club), etc... These clubs help the students to showcase their talents other than just corse studies.

Hostel Facilities

Room are of average size which can afford 3 students. Basic facilities include almirahs, shelves , fans lights are also available. Students are allowed to choose their menu under the budget by themselves. Hostel registrations can easily be done through erp portal of hbtu.

Hostel Fee: INR 61000 per year

Admission

Eligibility of the course is that one should qualify jee mains. Counselling for this college id done through the hbtu website where you can find all the application forms, fees, dates, etc. Reservation benefits are available for all the categories (except general). General ews category reservation is also available. Jee mains is not too tough all you need is to practice more and more. Jee mains occurs two times in a year ( in January and April). In the Councelling process, fill the preference of courses properly. Fill the courses that you want the most on the top.

Teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable and all faculty members in hbtu are phd holders from top colleges of india, some of them are foreign graduates. Their teaching skill are good. There are 3-4 lectures of each subject in a week and the faculties are interactive with students.

Good Faculty : Faculty are supportive to your carrer growth they will provide guidance whenever you needed...
Campus Facilities: Infrastruture,labs everything is up to date accoding to the current need of the present.
Curriculum: Up to date industry oriented syllabus .

Dislikes

Strict Rules: rules are somewhere more stricter for college id,entering and exiting time .
Crowded classes: some classes are crowded sometimes
placement competition many students participating in the placements.

Placement Experience:

At NIET Greater Noida students becomes eligible for sitting in the placements from the 7th sem, with placement preparation starting earlier . Companies from IT sectors and others are visiting college. In my batch time the company that comes are JP Morgan & Chase , Razorpay, Juspay, TCS, Cognizant etc.

placements were fine companies that were coming at the college for placements were mostly non tech and tech jobs were very less .Off-campus opportunities were better. i would rate it 2/5 . the companies approaching were also not the best

The quality of study is very appreciable. As our syllabus is very updated. Also the practical knowledge in colleges very good as well.
New buildings for 1st year as to prevent ragging is a very plus point. This prevent first year student from ragging and also give them a very friendly and good environment as well.
The placements are very good as in terms of quantity and quality as well many many companies came here and also many big companies which do not come in any other colleges in greater Noida also come in NIET.

Dislikes

The one thing I decide is high requirement of attendance which is 85% attendance by this criteria we get less time in fore hours kill enhancement and learning other things.
Also the coding culture is quite not good for 1st year as well so this thing also I don't like.
The other thing I don't like is that the assignments pressure was quite high in semester one and very very much assignments was given to our branches as well.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for setting in the campus placements is from 6 semester. And for internships the students become eligible from 4th semester and the internship is mandatory for every student. The companies visiting the college are quite in number. The highest placements which was offered during the ongoing placement is 44 lpa. And the average packages for company and profiles of a days 7 to 8 LP. The percentage of students getting placements are very good as 80 to 90% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is to get the highest placement

another unique aspect is the gender ratio which is the round one girl for every 2.5 poise compared to take institute is relatively balanced and healthy

Dislikes

compare to other reputed College Lucknow does not have very vibrant fest culture there are fewer culture music
hostel life has its advantages but the dormitories system from 2nd year onward is a big negative for many living with 8 to 12 student
most of faculty members simply come to class 11 lecture and their leave without much interest in melting student or classifying doubts

student are eligible for internship from second year and for job placement i think its from 3rd year highest is 1.45crpa avg 33lpa median is 26lpa this year around 201 from 209 get placement to that make around 96 %

I liked the teaching methods of some professors in our college .Their way of teaching is unique . In our college boy and girl ratio is approximately 5 to 1.
I also liked the ground and sports facilities of our college . Our college has 3 big grounds and a sac also a gym which has latest equipments and many more things.
The fests of our college is amazing , recently a fest called kashiyatra happened which is biggest fest of our college

Dislikes

I disliked the infrastructure of our college . Our college do not have ac in lecture halls or even there is no single ac for students in campus .
In our college the equipments in manufacturing practice are very old they are rusted and facilities don't even want to tell about those equipments. They are lazy .
Our college IIT bhu don't have their boundaries it is connected to bhu that's why clashes happened every month . Students of IIT and bhu fight every month and the service of proctor in IIT bhu is very disrespectful,they are lazy and don't take actio

Placement Experience:

Our college IIT bhu provides placement at end of year companies came for hiring students and hire them . Our IIT has 2nd rank in terms of placement in all iits. At the end of 3rd year students became eligible for campus placements. Our college also provide internship in third year companies came for internship in our college. My plans after getting degree is to get a high paying job in india and give financial stability to my family. Approximately 70 percent students get job in placement sessions.

Our college provides the training that includes DSA , soft skills and verbal & apptitude that the best for students for placements
The first year faculty of our college is very good and experienced having their phds
Our college infrastructure is also not that best but it's s above average, good water and electricity included Ac classroom provided by our college

The faculty of 3rd year isn't experienced they all are new teachers having 1 or 2 years of experience
They call students to come to college at placement time for regular classes due with we can't prepare for our placements
They take exams every months that I really don't like.

In our college I think placement are average, the average package is 4 lacks per annum. And the highest package is 34 lacks per annum.in the 2025 batch.There are approx about 60% of ye students get placed and some are left In the last of 6 or 7 semester students are eligible to sit in placements In our college the company that visit are finsol , commevault, nippons, hcl , juspay,etc.

Inside Experience of my Time in University

Likes

I really liked learning in the Electrical Workshop. The Smithy Shop and the Welding Shop were my favourites. The Faculty there, were truly very enthusiastic and not stressful. The Electrical Workshop helps us to learn the hands on skills, of labour.
I liked the Cultural Fiesta, which is an Annual Event, where different Artistic, Technical and Sport Activities were prevalent. My favourites were Jam, Debate, Artwork, Basketball, Skits and Corner Plays, Creative Writing Sessions, Onstage activities
I liked the beautiful diversity and greenery of my University, different departments, crossing one another, everyone is friendly with one another. No unnecessary mess, during the class sessions, and there were not any such restrictions while we skip.

Dislikes

I did not like the high fees structure, which surrounded with our Course, as Btech is a vast expanded course, that requires more practical skill mastery, rather than theoretical study. I think the fees structure must be revised for deserving students
The Faculty were pretty knowledgeable, but I guess they did not put their knowledge into full action. Only a few Teachers focused upon enlightening the students with profitable learning. The use of resources and knowledge is indeed must for such.
In comparision to the high fees structure, I realised that the internship and campus placement opportunities were not adequate, to amass all the departments and their students. A Company Campus Pool is not something for both Commerce and Engineering

Placement Experience:

Placements are both on and off-campus based. Placements are usually common for both IT and Non-IT students, Technical or Non-Technical. Students become eligible, in their final years to pursue internships or acquire placements. Usually students from Computer Science and Engineering avail more placement opportunities. The Medical Department have more options of Employability. Companies like HCL, Byju's, Extramarks, IBM and other local companies like Stambh Power Systems, Pieinfocomm and others have arrived. But the placement ratio needs to be increased. Off-Campus Placements are more successful. Highest Package can be 8lpa CTC to average package be 2.5lpa CTC, with profiles of assistance and associates. Atleast 30% students get placed on average. My plans are based on Learning in different ways.

The other colleges which i applied to were IET Lucknow , IIIT Una , IIIT Dharwad and other lower IIITs . I choose over those since this colleges reputation and placements spoke for itself they had a very good track record regarding this course and many famous companies have been coming here repeatedly. The admission in this college is through HBTU e-counselling site which is a standalone website managed by HBTU itself . It has a registration fees of 2500 rupees is non refundable . There you fill your choice of courses . The branch is alloted according to your JEE MAINS rank and your preference list . After the seat allotment letter you have to visit college and there you will have to submit your documents then you will be given a provisional admission letter and you are given a choice to upgrade your branch to the courses you have selected in your preference list.
