Course Curriculum Overview

The compitition for the subject political science is too high , due to which many toppers joined the course and the department itself provides efficient knowledge to the students and every students are given equal treatment and opportunities which influence me the most to joined this course

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are sufficient that everyone can pay , along it provides free admissions to economically challenging groups which is a great for everyone so that everyone can join the college . Also the teaching process is too good at this cost of admission.

Campus Life

The library is rich enough to provide books of each course . The college also focuses on extra curricular activities for which competitions are organised every year. The maximum students here are actively participating and are talented enought.

Admission

The eligibility are choosen from the percentage of the boards exams . The highest are given first preferences and continues till the last seat in this process . Also it has reservation categories also .

The faculties used average methods to make students understand things and their interaction with students for doubts and all other things are really appreciable. The ratio of faculties are also good enough to cover the syllabus and maintain the students life .

My thoughts about my college

Likes

Faculty members of our college is very good
The thing i like that teacher in our college use projector to teach us
In our college, the students get to join various seminars, which college authorities provide us with time to time

Dislikes

The main thing which i disliked about our college is that our college campus is small if you compare it with other colleges
In our college we dont have clean toilets, and the toilets smells very bad
The next thing is that there were various construction going on in our college so for now thr college environment is healthy enough for a student to perform

Course Curriculum Overview:

As i want to appear for civil services examinations in future, so for me political science subject is helpful for my future career, in our department out faculty trach us in a decent manners, but there are some improvements needed with time

The size of the college is quite small and needed more seats

Likes

I liked the overall environment of our college
My department (Geography) Faculty members are very good.
The teachers not only help in academics but also guide us for our better well-being.

Dislikes

Construction is going on in the college campus.
Though it has gain the autonomous tag still didn't get any such benefit.
The toilets are very unhygienic and have very bad odour.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our course is very easy to understand anyone who is new to this branch or doesn't have any idea about geography can easily understand the topics through the guidance of our faculty members. They provide extra classes for better understanding of the students.

When I saw a professor doing the hypnotize process. The curriculum activities are much help to the future or the present generation. For the course curriculum, it is huge so deep explanation is required. No problem in this aspect.

I like the way the teachers of our department interact with us. They are very friendly. The campus is very good. We had sitting place for students to sit and relax when they don't have classes. We had a good playground.
The students of silapathar college are quite wonderful, friendly, helpfull.

Dislikes

Things I don't like about my college is , the principal of our college is quite rude, doesn't interact with the students. He don't even allow to enter to his office.

I choose English literature because I want to study literature, wants to study more about people. In our department there are very few students, 60% are girls and 40% are boys. We had four teachers in our department, namely, DR. PUBALI BORA KASHYAP (Qualification: M.A, Ph.D., UGC- NET), PREM PRASAD SHARMA (Qualification: M.A, M.PHIL), Gitima Deka (Qualification: M.A., M.PHIL), Raju Pegu (Qualification: M.A, M.PHIL). The teachers take tests continuously.

For admission, anyone who has passed his/her 10+2 in any stream can apply by going to the online admission portal(website) but at the time of mine, there was no such facility so We use to go college and apply directly by filling the form(paper-based).

Remarks:

Overall, I'd say college is very good. It is one of the finest colleges in the state. I came from elsewhere to study at this college and I don't regret my decision. I made many new friends and now I am used to the environment so it will be difficult for me to leave this place.

I applied to various colleges but I confirmed Darrang College because this college is near to my home as compared to others . I didn't got rejection from other colleges. I didn't make it there because the course I wanted to study was not there . The admission process is merit based . Improvement in Sports activities needed

I applied for EFLU (Shillong Campus), Central University of Karnataka, Tezpur University, Gauhati University and Dibrugarh University and some of their affiliated colleges like Darrang College, DHSK College and many more. I did get pass through the merit lists of Karnataka, Darrang and DHSK. I chose this college among others cause this college is in middle assam which is more safe than other parts and also have a great environment in the campus and also the college is good , and the people in it .
