Course Curriculum Overview

It follows the curriculum of apj Abdul Kalam Kerala technical University . I didn't think it is a job oriented curriculum. In each semester there will be 2 internal exam. It only have less difficulties in the exam.there will needed gaps in timetable

Placement Experience

College provides placement opportunities.we will get the job only if we are skilled . Companies Tata are offers placement program every year. Also many companies are coming.and too many placement drives are done in the college

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no increasing policy.There are three types of students in there merit, management and NRI.for merit the fee is 75000 ,for management it is 100000 And for NRI it is 150000.There will be scholarships for merit students who have achieved good marks

Campus Life

The annual festival in the college are happening rarely. College have large library with plenty of books and easily accessible for all students.All classroom have projector with it.There are too many student-run social groups are in the campus

12 science needed,For merit and management seat Keam mark will be needed.Application details is available in college Reservation benefits are there some communities. and also there will be scholarships for some communities

.I don't the currect faculty to student ratio but I think it is enough.All the faculties are highly educated and some of them have PhD and some of them are on the process.Overall behaviour and attitude of faculties towards students are good

Likes

The campus is well maintained and is clean
Teachers are willing to give individual attention if needed
Above average food is provided in canteen

Dislikes

Lack of campus life as college is strict
Majority of the staff members are the type to hold a grudge against you
Spoon feeding students and not allowing them to think and improvise accordingly

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from semester 6 onwards. But campus placement for civil engineering is fairly low. But companies like Aarbee Structures Pvt Ltd has offered jobs for my mates

Likes

Decent infrastructure. hostel infrastructure is also clean and better than most colleges

Dislikes

Very poor campus life. No importance for cultural programmes and activities
Very poor and degrading environment for women. Faculties and other staff are very judgemental.
Very low packages for average students. Placement training is regularly being provided, but it is too hectic to be managed along with curriculum.

Placement Experience:

students become eligible for placements after sixth semester. Major companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, e.t.c are recruiters. about 5-10 students are recuited on average by these companies. highest package was offered by south indian bank in 2023 (10 LPA). average packges are around 2 to 3 LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Likes

All the teachers are well qualified and equipped to teach but the quality of teaching differs as per individual.

Dislikes

The say of students in matters concerning them or others is nil. We have very little say as the management takes all decisons.
Teachers have ego and superiority issues between themselves which might affect the children in 4th year,project phases.
Fests,events and functions are not upto any expectations.Schools in trivandrum have better events than our college.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

We have a very good faculty family that is not only supportive but also loving.

Placement Experience:

From the seventh semester we are eligible for the placements. They provide placement training sessions in the college itself. Computer Science department has almost hundred percent placements. Also there is mtech in the college if you prefer higher studies.

TIST , Great college , fun events and more

Likes

Our seniors passed out with flying colors joining different companies or starting their own. There's a good focus on peer learning and student communities which is pretty nice. Canteen food is decent and labs are great
Most people and professors are friendly and they encourage you to try out new things.

Dislikes

Hostel water , busses are pretty fast. Sometimes roads are a bitt rough

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

Programs and activities are good and the support
Good support for the sports and highly skill atheletes

Dislikes

Exams are conducted without a gap in between
There are a lot of assignment often for the students

Placement Experience:

After 6 th semester students become eligible for placements . It's in the final years . Many companies have visited the college and made offers for the students like Wipro,Tenzo tech , infopark etc Around 70 Percent students get placement

Likes

When it comes to the campus life, I enjoyed all the 4 years
The infrastructure was okayish Could've improved.
The faculty was really friendly and I was able to approach them without any hesitation.

Dislikes

The road from the junction to the college is not at all maintained. Students coming up the hill find it very difficult to reach college
The bus fees are increased every year. But these people can't find a way to provide seats for the students after paying their bus fee.
Some other campus offer many varieties of food in their canteen. This has to be done here too

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.

Yeah well, positive things are there. I got many friends. I got a degree. I learned much personal and professional knowledge. I also learned how to live independently for 4 years without parents alone somewhere.

I don’t know because I haven’t attain any internships

I applied to several reputed colleges which offering similar programs in AI AND DS such rajagiri ,CET , Amal Jyothy etc.but in merit i get a college named mentor in ernakulam which is not having a good placements or acedamic performance and no a good transport itself.and I choose this college because a very good •academic reputation •infrastructure facilities •placement opportunities •lactation and accessibility •scholarships or financial aids This combination of factor made this college a ideal choice for my academic and professional aspire. Yes I did rejected by one college of my 12th percentage but they call me at last but I choose this college because that is a very bad in placements or academic performance and I focused more to a good academic and much better college for my career.and at last this made me to understand my strength and areas for grow and made to focus on making the opportunities that I have in this college and made me for the personal growth too and to build a strong gang certifications in the key areas too.the admission process in our college is mix of merit and management quotas depending upon the course. Eligibility are for BTech pass 12th with science background and meet the minimum score in physics maths and chemistry and for MTech relevant bachelors degree and accept entrance exams like KEAM JEE NATA GATE etc..and the cut off will be based on seat availability or number of applicants generally computer science have high cut off . And the admission process can be in online via college website or in person by giving the score cards academic documents and personal and relevant documents for verification.
