A part of Sweet and bitter experiences in University

The curriculum is quite different from the other colleges.This include a lot of new concepts and practical.The students are cooperative and friendly as well . The curriculum is not up to the mark like for the other universities.It doesn't prepare for the real world application. The areas of improvement can be - * They not include innovative methods to understand different conceptions and ideas by different scholars. * As it's political science they should try to make us understand practically how parliament works and other important institutions of the government are structured. The frequency of exams are quite okayy but the difficulty level depends upon the subject and course.In the 1st sem we studied political philosophy,it was interesting and we don't need to read a lot of texts , every answers were appreciated as everyone has different perspectives.

So personally have not opt for any tuition so I don't know much about it but I don't think so this tuition fee policy is not there . As this is a government institution so the fees are not that much but it's only 5000 that we need to pay in the beginning and monthly fees are not needed. But for every exam before the end semester,some examination fee have to paid.

The university week that is called versity week is celebrated during the month of October or November where the new fresher students also come together to celebrate and participate in these events. As University is located in the state of Assam therefore the states festivals are also celebrated like Bihu . Technical facilities are also there in the university like for PPT presentation but not much of the facilities are there. Universities quite good in extra curricular like sports and specially cultural programs like dances, singing. The students are very talented in terms of cultural activities and their very proactive. There also many social groups clubs and community groups are also there for special community and s students portal as well Student union in the universities is also very strong.

The application process was quite lengthy. To get into the University we need to give an entrance examination that is CUET and on the basis of CUET score we got the admission. We can find the application form and application date etc in the universities website. I have not availed for any reservation because I don't come under the reservation category . I found the entrance examination process quite smooth and the frequency of examinations wereb also quite good and the paper level was not that tough it was medium but the scoring and negative making was kind of little bit massy. The areas of improvement in the admission process are The admission process was bites slow and it took a lot of time because of that students were forced to take admission in other colleges as they couldn't wait that long .

The faculty to students ratio is not adequate as the number of students are large compared to the professors.The lack of enough professors have led to including the scholars to teach the students.The problem here is ,they are not that experienced enough to teach the students and as they are very new and young they are rigid the understanding the perspective of students. The faculty is quite good but not innovative. We can easily interact with the professors but sometimes it's really hard to ask him questions because they are kind of egoistic and find it boring to answer the students that's a very huge problem regarding this university and these scholars are a kind of rigid in giving marks ,Because they find the answers are not up to the mark and the suggest too many books ,at our level we find it very difficult to study those high level books . But some of the professors are very friendly and they interact a lot with the students,and device new method of learning.
