- Faculty behaviour is very nice. Well qualified professors teach us with practical learning techniques
- Our college campus is very beautiful and appealing. There are good libraries, gardens and cafeterias to hang out.
- Transport facility is very affordable. Graphic Era buses cover almost all the routes of dehradun.
Dislikes
- Sometimes, I felt that the fees paid for the course is a bit high.
- Our batch did not get the fresher's party and also the Grafest took place once In 3 years.
Course Curriculum Overview
Our course curriculum had a good mix of projects, business related topics and various other subjects to choose from. It prepares students well for real jobs and the corporate world. Exams are also well times and are not that difficult to clear. If you attend classes regularly you will easily clear the exams.
Internships Opportunities
For internship only one company came to our college that was Times of India and to be very honest I took that internship but regretted later. It was a door to door sales internship at Chandigarh. Stipend provided was almost nothing in comparison to the cost incurred for stay at Chandigarh.
Placement Experience
I did receive an employment offer through campus placements. Several companies come for the placement but mostly offer the position of sales associate. Not much opportunities are provided to finance students.
Fees and Financial Aid
GEU offers very good scholarship scheme. I personally got around 30% scholarship. Various scholarships are offered like girl child scholarship and merit scholarships. Although I did not opt for a hostel, but hostel fees are also affordable. Good quality food is offered along with evening snacks. Hygiene is also maintained.
Campus Life
I was a part of NSS- national service scheme for 3 years. It was fun being part of this group. I was a part of several campaigns like cleanliness drives, blood donation camps and much more. Apart from this their are several other clubs which the students can join. Also several benefits are provided to students who are active in these activities.
Admission
I did not avail reservation benefit. For graduation, admission process is very easy. My admission was done on basis of my 12th result. Process was very smooth and easy. 2 exams are conducted in each semester. Mid semester exams and end semester exams. Their difficulty level is normal to difficult.
Faculty
Our class strength was around 50-60 per semester. But only 20-30 students were present daily. So there was a good faculty to student ratio. We got personal attention from the teacherss and all our doubts were cleared by them. Faculties were well qualified and their main aim was to provide learning experience through real-life examples and Experiences.
