An average college with not so average oppurtunities.

While the course is very much relevant and well thought out as it was taken from IIT Delhi in its initial days because of it being the mentor institute of our university. The labs are also well equipped with equipments to test are theoretical knowledge in practical world. There are two minors and one major which marks the end of one semester. While 10 marks are of assignment or quiz however the professor likes. All in all, professors are willing to increase about 4 marks if it affects the grade of that subject but that too depends on your image in front of them.

Students become eligible for placements from third-year sixth semester given that they have no backlogs. Last year Maruti suzuki visited us last year offered to take four students at a package of twelve lakhs per annum but only took one student. this year Mahindra is in talks of coming with mopre or less same package as Maruti suzuki. Apart from this in core companies only field marshall(there can be spelling mistake) came offering a package of seven lakh fifty thousand per annum. Other than these companies only mass recruiters came who offered to take a lot of students but at a package of three or four lakhs per annum. Around 60 percent of a batch gets placed

Tuition fees increase after every three years by around 10 thousands. While my total tution fees is one lakh thirty two thousands the batch that came after me have to pay one lakh forty one thousand. My hostel and mess fees together makes a sum of 43 thousand five hundred. The hostel and mess fees remains same and there is no visible hike in them although recent talks have revealed that the mess fees will be increased by around fifteen thousand to make the quality of food better. There are two types of scholarship given to students while one is given to students with under one lakh rank in jee mains and they have to maintain a cgpa of 7.5 till three semesters for it to continue and the other is given to students who score a staggering 8.5 sgpa in a semester. The amount is around 70 thousand is given back to students. Credited back to their respective accounts.

There are a lot of fests held like sarang the annual sports fest, Titiksha which is managed by engineering students, Resurgance and many others. Events include DJ nights and other small activities. There is one big central Library which is well equipped with titles atleast you will get the books of your professor's reccomendation easily. Classrooms are well equipped with projectors but they do not work properly atleast most of them. There is a lot of scope for sports activities in campus.

Hostels are average. There are a total of six hostels for boys in university and three for girls. Mostly doublet and singlet rooms are provided in the first and second year of college and singlets are provided from third year. Rooms are equipped with basic needs like one table, one chair, one bed and one rack shelf to keep things on it. Food quality is not at all good and everytime that you complain they jusgt keep on assuring us that next time will be better. But it is never better. Mess menu is decided by the mess commitee which is formed up of students and mess contracter. Every hostrel has their own mess. Registration process is very easy just submit the hostel fees and mess fees and submit the challan to the hostel caretaker along with hostel allocation form, Anti ragging affidavit, Hostel honour code and you will be alloted a room which will be cleaned just before you have shift in there.

The eligibility for the course was either jee mains with a percentile more than eighty-five or ninety if you are from general category and the second eligibility is cuet with physics maths english score considered. Additionally, you need to have a class 12th degree with physics, chemistry, maths. You can apply for the college from their website. By filling in all the necessary details after that once your name comes in the merit list you'll get a mail regarding further instructions. There are a lot of reservation quotas although I have not availed any. There are only three exams conducted and they are nit that difficult mostly if you have solved previous years' question papers it's a piece of cake.

In my department there is only a handful of teachers that are approachable in terms of doubts. Although they show full leniency for their behaviour. But I think that teaching experience can be much better. Mostly their teaching methods include presentations. Faculties mostly connect their laptops with the projectors which are equipped in every classroom and just read the presentation out loud. While just two or three may teach with facts and stuff. mostly one professor teaches you atleast two subjects throughout your degree. Teachers are only approachable if you want to do project under them as it enhances their Cv too. Apart from that the teaching and faculty staff is just average.
