Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Curriculum and the course scheduling is really good. We can a strong basics in the 1st year then we can grow towards our core subjects year by year. Also provides seperate sessions for programming and Aptitude for placement preparation. Teaching methods and everything is fine. The mid exams will be moderate level and the sem exams too, this will depends on the student perspective. Labs are also fine.

Internships Opportunities

3

We have to search for an Internship if we needed else college will provide some online internship with government associated I think. It's good we can improve our knowledge by having these online internship.

Placement Experience

3.5

As we are suffering in recession there is less companies to give offers for students. In Gitam they are trying there best to get the companies. Also they are trying to get sales or business role jobs to give an opportunity for every student to get a job.

Fees and Financial Aid

If we get a seat in Gitam via entrance exam there will be a reduction in fees according to rank else we can get a free seat through EMCET/KCET. If not we need 3 lakhs for tution and hostel fees to study in Gitam.

Campus Life

3.5

There will be a limited number of events. Mostly we can say 3, they are freshers day, farewell day and a MAD event that's it for enjoying campus life in a cultural way. But there is a lot of events on knowledge based like having an interaction with business models, companies HR's and many other. These type of events we can expect 1 to 2 for every month.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

In 1st year it is good having single room but later combined rooms which is 3 or 4 people in one room and the meals not good as expectations. I have lived in a Room near college and I have been enjoyed a month with 10k which involves rent, grocery and everything this makes me to feel better. Rooms and Pg's are better than Hostel.

Admission

I have written the COMEDK exam which is really not important to get a seat in Gitam. So I have gone through the paying seat which is 1.85 lakh for tution fees. We need to be complete (MPC)intermediate student to write the entrance exam of the Gitam. Better to join Gitam with a free seat which we can get with the help of EMCET/KCET.

Faculty

4.5

I am an ECE student, in ECE I can say that for every subject there are 5 faculty roughly and for every 30 students there is a mentoring faculty within ECE faculty. Every faculty(Max) is a PhD scholar. Mentoring session will happens twice a week may be thrice sometimes to know that any problem student is facing by asking individually. If we want to meet faculty we can meet and interact with them in there free hours.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the NIAT curriculum around four out of five. In my opinion, it is good that the curriculum is not only based on theoretical studies. The inclusion of coding, projects, assignments, and practical knowledge is quite engaging for the students, as they can apply the acquired information in practice. Additionally, I find the curriculum up to date compared to the standard Btech syllabus, which mainly focuses on theoretical background. However the curriculum could have fewer assignments, as some of them are rather time consuming and require additional study to achieve a better understanding of a particular subject.

Placement Experience:

The on-campus usually starts in 6th Semester. A company called MathCo was the first company it came for the role of analyst. Around 5-7 people got selected. The average package would be usually around 4-4.5 LPA, but highest package was 6.25 from PlanetSpark for role of Sales. The percentage is nearly to 10-12%. After degree, get a job and work for atleast 2 years for learning current trends is my basic thought as of now.
