Likes

Less fees per year which opem the doors for underprivileged students
Affordable hostel rent and you get single room in your masters here.
Old and big campus having many colleges and also kisan mela is organised here every year

Dislikes

Delay academic session even after cocid has passed away.
Classes are not much there exceot few and you have to be active for classes to occur
Mostly teachers dont provide motes so you have to rely on google and your own notes.

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is quite interesting and if someone loves forest and nature and trees, this course is perfect for that person. But to get job in this field, you have to Crack govt. Exams. There are many jobs in private too but just don't compare it with anyother popular courses.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is very low and affordable as I mentioned. You can get admission in this college either through ICAR exam or Jharkhand state exam. And through both exams you get scholarship. Through ICAR you get Rs. 5000 pm and through state scholarship money amount I don't know but you do get it.

Campus Life

Campus life is fine. Sports, cultural events do take place too. I won't say that it is best here because that's not true. But it's not bad either. Just enjoy your time here and roam campus. Campus is good as far as greenery is considered.

Hostel Facilities

As I said it is just 1000 rupees per year which is very less and very affordable for any students. You don't have to registered separately for hostel. Hostel fees is along with admission fee and you will definitely get hostel if you want so no issue in that.

Admission

I got into this college after giving ICAR exam for PG. For getting admission it depends on many factor and not just on cut off. Mainly rank is seen for the admission. You can get this college of your rank is around 30-40 also in general category.

Faculty

All the teaching faculty are PhD qualified and lab assistants are M.SC qualified. Everyone's qualification is upto mark which is required for the job. But faculty: students ratio is low and that is one of the main reason why there are very few classes.

My Low Budget College life in Master at St. Xavier's College Ranchi

Likes

Regular classes and on time syllabus completion before exams. Our class girls to boys ratio was 10:3
Interactive and friendly teachers who are always there for the students.
Neat and clean Campus and college does organise many other academic and cultural activities like seminar, festivals events, yearly college fest, to keep the students well engaged and active and does not provide with a boring college experience.

Dislikes

The 75% attendance criteria. where a student is must to get 75% in all there subjects otherwise they are barred from writing the semester end exams.
The college has very strict timings like schools or millitary if you are you will be held outside the gate and won't be allowed to attend the classes.

Placement Experience:

Our college does offer campus placements from 4th semester onwards. The companies visiting our college our mostly industry based hiring for the position of assistant and trainee for short term then after that fixed placement in that company after completing the given role. Companies such as Jindal stell, Glenmark, Tata Chemicals, Sun Pharma, etc. they do provide there on test and if we pass the test then they do a walk in interview. if we pass the interview then we were offered a role of assistant or trainee under the annual package ranging from 3 - 4.5L P.A.

These are my perception and I am not saying that it's fact

Likes

The campus is quite large and there is no problem of parking
The classroom 's have good and proper ventilation.
The availability of canteen and cyber cafe is also the plus point

Dislikes

The washroom is not in proper conditon . It's unhygienic
The campus is large but there should be some flowers plants and more things to make it look enchanting but there is no such things
Anyone can enter the campus for dropping there child it should be restricted

Course Curriculum Overview:

There is nothing specific about choosing it , it's just my interest on that particular subject for which I am there .we get proper notes and tips for our exams and also some life lesson . There is only thing which I find irritating and that's the gap between the exams like seriously how can expect from us to prepare 4 subject in just 2 to 3 months

Satisfied from where I am

Likes

Faculty is very nice , class room are so big land library has a broad area and lots of shelf
Teachers and especially HOD is too cooperative
Practical classes are conducting in regular basis

Dislikes

Classrooms and offices should need camera
Ragging should be prohibited in department
Waiting area fir guest should be organise

Course Curriculum Overview:

When I type this, I am too excited to share with you that when I heard about this course in this college, I was not more excited or interested, but when was fully my parents takes my admission I was really so confused within one week. I really really happy and glad to have such a great teacher and department. When it comes to the timing of exams, along with perspective on their difficulty level, I told you that you can't even thought that how smoothly exam will over.

It is nice from my view.

Likes

The fee structure i liked the most about the collge which is affordable by everyone. Also scholarship for students is available.
The college organizes the workshops on latest trends from different organizations. Also connect with non profitable oranizations who will provide training stuents on latest technologies at free of cost.
The facilities are good, They have M.Tech degrees. Also they are very supportive.

Dislikes

I don't like the outdoor campus of the college, It is a very small area. Also the college don't have the closed campus from all sides.
The college infrastructure is also not that much good. Some departments (like CND, Home science ) classes are taken in old buildings which are not in a good conditions.
Most disliked thing is that college don't have the online admission or re-admission facitility. It is happens in offline mode only. You have to stand on a queqe to submit the admission or re-admission fee.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible from 3rd semester. When i'm there only local companies of the city are came for the placement in our college campus. But if other MNC'S are coming for placements in other colleges of the city then we were informed by the placement cell and teachers. Only 20-30% students got placed at our time. My plans after getting a degree is secure a entry level position in an organization. For that i'm also looking for the off campus placements. Right now many companies hiring off campus more than on campus. So, there are more chances to secure your dream job.

Our college and journey

Placement Experience:

From last semester students because eligible for campus placement selection, there are many companies like to visit our college such as Wipro, Tata, TCS, Prabhat khabar, Dainik Jagran, Dainik Bhaskar, etv news, reliance, big bazaar and many more renowned companies. Usually companies offer a contract of minimum 5 to 7 lacs per annum for starting year. 50% students get placement here, because as I told you that there first year package is poor and the companies want us to sign a contract that we will never leave the company for at least 3 years which is not good in my opinion because everyone wants to explore different possibilities. I'm one of those 50% who didn't got the job, after getting the job my plan is simple I'll try to prepare for government job for 5 years if not succeed I'll do my family business.

Remarks:

They offer great exposure in the field of research. it will be useful for you. Referring books is a must for this course. Reading about new discoveries in the field of DNA technology will give us an idea of it.

Since no company come to our campus so placements is not at all average also.No highest salary. No average salary offered. But nowadays off campus drive is organised for all colleges and we go there for job.

Great Faculty, Campus with enhanced class rooms

Remarks:

Good college. Keep in mind that not every degree can be completed in four years. Some STEM fields, for example, might have industry or internship experiences that require an extra year for students to complete, and other colleges have a large number of working students who may need extra time to balance academics with jobs.

Remarks:

Positive is that it has more than 980 acre campus full of lush green trees which make stay comfortable in the campus. Negative is that College is located away from the city that's why student are not allowed in night to go outside.

Best College for Agricultural Science

I chose this college as it is the best one for this course. The quality of education, the faculty, the environment, etc. all are very good. The admission to this college takes place through a state level entrance examination JCECE which is conducted each year by the JCECEB. All the students of science stream are eligible for this examination. The cutoff for admission is around 70 to 75% for this course.
