Course Curriculum Overview
As I have done BTech and then MTech, then my goal is to pursue PhD in CSE. Then I choose JUIT, solan. As I have seen that faculties are very good in research areas and latest research work is carried out in this university. I think some courses need to be improved.
Placement Experience
During 3rd year of btech you will be eligible for placements. Most of the companies visit our campus for placements. Highest package is 40lacs and average package is 5-6 lacs. Most of the students are getting placed before final year. After completion of degree i will be placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
As a PhD student fee structure is 32500 per semester and if you pursuing full time university will provide you a scholarship of 37000 per month. Also there is one time 20000 which you have to pay and after degree they will pay you back as a security. Hostel fee per semester is 80000, which includes mess, room with hot water facilities throughout year. Along with laundry.
Campus Life
There are various fests throughout the year, le fiestus is one of them which is going once in a year. There are thousands of books available in a library you can access them anytime. And access to paid journals are provided by the university. Sports and other extra circular activities are going once in a semester. There are various clubs like ACM, SIAM, Technical club, IEEE, and so on.
Admission
As a PhD student if you have NET qualified then they will provide direct admission. Otherwise you have to give one entrance examination. For full time research scholar entrance test is mandatory and if you are intrested for part time then there is no need for entrance test.
Faculty
Most of the faculties are from IIT's and NIT's. They are well good in research and helping you anytime. They are mentoring you everyday before the class. They are very helping in nature. As a research student I personally interact once in a week with my guide.
