The campus is pretty big there are a lot of facilities for students to work with.The crowd is really good

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum focuses on the current market.It prepares us really well for our future as there are many labs and internship and learning opportunities for students.Wish there was a more practical approach rather than theoretical in certain aspects of the course.There are about 2 internals and one end semester exam the difficulty is harder compared to other government based colleges.

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for campus placements after 6th sem.Many top tier companies such as Microsoft ,Apple ,Qualcomm ,Cognizant, Mercedes-Benz visit the college during campus placements.The highest domestic package is 64lakhs and international is 1.5cr pa.The average package is around 11lpa.Around 70-80% of the students are placed every year.My plans are to pursue higher studies

Fees and Financial Aid

The course fees is 400000 for cse and 360000 for other engineering courses per year we have many scholarship opportunities including a 20% and a 25% off on the current fees for top studenst and other students can get around 1000 per semester.Provides many opportunities during college fests and there are many educational trips organised by the college for top students students can around 10-20k

Campus Life

There is a fest held every year called Aatmatrisha which is held around April/May every year.There are many libraries around campus and all types of academic books are available.There are projectors inside classrooms and a seminar hall in every floor.There are many opportunities for sports cricket ground ,Futsal turf , Badminton court ,squash court ,basketball courts etc .There are many student run clubs in campus which provide various placement and extra curricular opportunities

Admission

College admission is done through a written test provided by the college or through state University exams.The application process can be done online or by visiting the college.There is no reservation policy unless the admission is done through state University exam.We have 2 internals and one end sem exam which is harder compared to state affiliated universities.

Faculty

There are many faculty members who are available to all the students.Professors from departments other than cse are very upright and strict and didn't find their teaching great excluding a few teachers.There are one on one mentoring sessions for students around 3-4 times a semester for 30min

I great there is no ragging in our college
There is a discipline in our college and good atmosphere
there is good faculty in our college and nature is good

Dislikes

there is no specific sports for there course
vehicles parking is not good our the college

Placement Experience:

from 5 th semester there will be campus place ment is there There will many companies are visited , like Amazon, google, There is 60 lakh per annual but i didn't known which companies there will be 80 percent students are getting placement my plan is to make money and help the poor peoples There is beast placement in our college , there will be a internships and good here for Hailey package in this college

Good Infrastructure and Career Opportunities

Likes

Yes the first thing I liked is the campus and the environment there is no harrasment and strict action will be taken.
And second thing is faculty members are so helpful and they always help to students and different festival
And also the campus provide all facilities and make helps to sports and ration is almost equal of boys and girls

Dislikes

Yes some things are there which I disliked first is the campus is very strict and no function are organised yearly ones or twice is very sad thing as compared to other campus
Second thing is food students facing some problem with the food which hear prepared so outsiders facing lot of problems
Third is about hostel facility is good but very strict only once a week the students should go out side and write leave letter to go there native places.

Placement Experience:

Students got opportunity to eligible after 3rd year mainly in 7th semester students get opportunity for campus interview. In my college the company which came to hire is congizent and microsoft and amezon and dell nearly 80 to 90 company are came. The company offers is highest is 40 lack per annum which google provide and minimum is 4lack . Mainly 80 percent of the students are placed every year but due to war happened in the global impact in placement I want to do masters in abroad and then go to the company

The great review

Likes

very first thing i like in the college is the wifi network,
the library which is very peace and silent
average places to take photos and nearby there is nandi hills to visit

Dislikes

i dislike the distance of the college, its too large, should walk soo much
the cost of stationaries in the general store
i dont think so faculy are that much expertise , only countable people worth it

Course Curriculum Overview:

see i have choosed this course because it is very relatable to CSE, coz my ranking was not sufficient to get this course. the course which i took "Information Science and Engineering" is really a good course. they make us real world engineers. the area they shld actually improve is, hiring worthable faculty.

Likes

Campus is good and mainly located near Whitefield.
too good supportive professor. Staff are too chill. Some staff are like our bestfriend's.
Lab equipment are good . You are not facing any issue with pc.. it's good

Dislikes

There is only few events in a year. I think only 3 events.
Hostel building is too bad. And hostel food is too bad.
There is no field to play games like cricket, football.

Placement Experience:

After 8 sems we are eligible for placements. TCS ,Dell and many companies visited mvj. Highest package of mvj was 22lakhs per annum. Basically some companies ask CGPA at above 8. My plan is a developer after my engineering in python language or Else I will continue my dad business

Insights of the Gopalan college of engineering and Management by a First Year Student

Likes

Canteen is fine has nice and tasty food and quite a lot of options
Library is also good has every book related to my course and few others as well
Lab facilities are also very nice and the college has a nice crowd

Dislikes

It's nothing like I expected, they don't let students use the ground or turfs. Facilities are pretty bad.
They charge money for everything and has zero facilities for college students. Everything is for there school students.
College is very small and the faculties are rude to students. (Mostly the case)

Placement Experience:

Student are eligible for placements from there 7th semester but I wouldn't recommend relying on college for placements. Not many companies come to this college so placements are really bad. If u have skills it would be better to apply to companies on your own. I don't have details on how many students gets placed but as much as I know it's about 30-50 % And average package is also very low. I plan of gaining skills and certification on my own and job hunting myself in 4th year through my connections and internships. Or maybe go abroad for masters As I'm a first year student I don't know much about which companies come and how much they offer.

Review for a Future aspirant

We have a temporary campus .which was taken as rent in goverment engeneering college raichur .and permanent campus was yet to finish by the time juniors come the permanent campus will be getting finished.just needed the proper campus no improvments
The campus life was not as expected by a student because here the cluns are not very active like in any other colleges , u can enjot a lot with your friends in your hostel.
Every branch has a faculty adviser we can meet them and discuss our problems with them .the faculry were very good they were well experienced ,they teach in general way as any teacher does on a digital board.

Dislikes

The placement cell is not that good , the students were not getting places for good amount of package as expected .
The labs were not well maintained that should be resolved that is the main problem in this college as well as library we have a very small library which is in a size of a regular class
Hostel was not within the campus which makes some difficulty to walk through the streets with roaming buses and cars and bikes , in our college boy girl ration was very less it is 1: 7 like that.

Placement Experience:

From 6th semester students are eligible for taking interships and they get placed in 7th semester and have to leave campus after 8th semester the highest would somewhere aroubd 20 lpa and avg would be 9 to 10 lpa . I plan to do Mtech in any reputed college by writing gate . The percentage of studebts getting placed are 70 %

Admission:

I had opted this course because I am interested in research field. the factors that made me choose institution aa it is best for playing courses which has the high infrastructure need for research. Steps college as a part of admission procedure are as follows to apply for CUCET examination after qualifying in that examination we will be called for counselling, in counselling they will prepare merit list according to the marks obtained in the future of examination and 12th marks according to that they will provide seat for us.

No comments on management except on decision taking, they take strict decision on attendance, discipline etc but we don't like tat. As though students are ment to break rules.

Why you should join PESU - pros and cons.

I applied to KIIT, VIT, DSCE, BMSIT along with the usual IIT and NIT with BITS. I did not clear JEE, nor was able to get somewhat of a good score for CSE in BITS. I wanted to pursue CS, so instead of choosing a course I did not like in BITS, I chose CS in PESU. I chose PESU because the placements outdo the others, while also having a better reputation than the others. For our batch, it was giving the admission test called PESSAT, through which you got a rank, and based on that you could enter the counselling round and choose your course based on your rank. pesu is banglore based and closer to my house while vit was really far and the expenses were out of the roof and massive overcrowding in vit also considering the temperature in vit chennai. amrita banglore was just not right for me , dint know anyone and as an introvert its a pretty active college with presentations and more speaking oppurtinities in each class and just didnt feel right ....Read More

Review about PES UNIVERSITY BANGALORE

Except this college I had applied to RV college of engineering which is the goated college of banglore but because of the cutoff in that college I was not able to join that college. I was allocated to BMSIT college in my 1st round of Kcet but the college was the second branch of BMS College so I choose PES . No I didn't get any rejection from other college but the only issue was the cutoff of RV college of engineering i didn't had enough rank to join there . To join into our college there is a common entrance exam conducted by Karnataka government known as KCET .most students prefer this exam as it reduces the fee of your college.
