Likes
- The infrastructure of the college is quite good atleast a comfortable environment is available. The college provides various opportunities for students like many activities and organises many seminars for students to gain better knowledge.
- Helps in improving communication skills as it conducts special classes for our behaviour and expressions and approach in the competitive world.
Dislikes
- There is not much control on students by the professors or HOD of engineering departments as there have been many chaos created by them many a times.
- Information or announcements are not properly delivered to students and college does not provide exam schedules before hand just one or two weeks before exams.
- The professors communicate in whichever language that is suitable to them and not our benifit.
Course Curriculum Overview
Interesting cases abd case analysis done in our course and the subjects have facinated me to choose this course. Though in law what we learn in hardly utilised in the real world as it's a totally different approach but we have been given proper guidance and examples on how and where should a particular act or law is applied. Some subjects could be altered or the order of subjects could be changed for us to grasp easily. The timings of exams are quite feasible but the schedules should be given much beforehand.
Internships Opportunities
The college provided us the internship in the West Bengal State Legal Services where we visited ngos, hopitals organized legal aid campaigns and learnt about the legal services society. The college also provided internships in few law firms but all were unpaid.
Fees and Financial Aid
In my course there hasn't been any hike in the tution fees till now. They charge 55,000 per semester that is over all 5.5 lakhs for the whole course along with 2000 exam fees for every semester is charged. I haven't yet heard of any scholarships that the college offers but there is some kind of scheme offered to students who pay for their own studies some compensation is provided to them. The campus has provides with internships only and no job roles or stripends awarded.
Campus Life
They have fests like sahotsava which is held during the month of april-may. We have our own departmental fests also which is mainly dedicated to the introduction of our constitution. There are scopes of sports too the college has their own football and crickets teams. Our law department has the legal aid committee which is a ground that gives free legal aid to the under privileged people in schools or in prisons.
Admission
Any student scoring above 65% is eligible for the course. The application forms, dates and fees can all my found in the official website of techno indian university They should do a little more background checks of students applying and should increase the cut off marks too.
Faculty
The faculty is very approachable in our department. They help and guide us whenever required and are always available for doubt clearing sessions. They teach in such a way that makes it easier for us to understand and communicate. Most of our professors are phd holders and have good experience in teaching.
