Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum of mathematics and computing branch attracts me the most. It is the mix of both computational practices and mathematical skills of an engineer to achieve feats in the fields of AL/ ML and data science. You can always go into competitive coding anytime but the course curriculum helps a lot if you want to dive into AI/ML or data science which have immense scope in the future. Moreover, the course was restructured this year so it has become more relevant to the practical job environment. Exams are pretty easy at DTU and you can have a good GPA if you study a bit every day or even seriously some time before the exams. In a]each sem we have 2 exams of midsems and endsems with periodic tests of each subject depending on the teacher.

Internships Opportunities

5

Internships are generally from 3rd year but many students build their own projects and develop a strong LinkedIn account to get internship experience in the 2nd year only. But generally, the college provides an internship in the 3rd year where if you work according to the expectations you can even crack a pre-placement offer and you are set. Most people go with web-d as a full stack developer and create websites or they prefer competitive programming, Companies like Google, expedia, sprinklr, Microsoft, whirlpool, HCL tech, ongc, and other reputable companies offer internships to students.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements of the 2022-23 session were quite outstanding as the highest package to 4 students was 82.5 lpa domestic. The overall average for the college was 16.7 lpa. Students become elligible for job offers from 7th sem where they receive ppo's after completing internships. Most of the high paying companies like google ,microsoft ,amazon etc visit the campus during placement/internship drives. This year 75% of the students got placed in the tech branches while in other non tech branches the placements were comparitively lower around 60-70%.

Fees and Financial Aid

If you look over the course fees of institutions like IIT the course fee is of that range only i.e. around 12.5 Lakhs for 4 years. Also considering the hike in all the institution's fees this is very much affordable and much less than private institutions. The scholarships are available for reserved candidates and a 100% waiver is available. Internships in 3rd year are a good opportunity here to crack PPO and the average stipend according to rti report was around 65-70k PM.

Campus Life

5

Fests at DTU are the most exciting thing and many people look forward to the biggest cultural fest in North India i.e. Engifest. This year during my first engi i enjoyed it a lot and the main artists included Shreya ghoshal, Talwinder, DJ Ravator, Raga, and many more. Engifest had a footfall of over 1.5 lakh on the first day itself. The environment in the college during the time of the fests is a new experience on its own. The infrastructure of the college is pretty awesome as the library and the classrooms have new benches smart projectors air conditioners and the library ranges from books related to fiction to books on the most detailed topics helpful for phd scholars as well. It also has an overnight provisional stay during exams. The sports complex is also well equipped with all the essential sports like table tennis, basketball, badminton, football, cricket and much more. The sports fest is also a very big event to look forward to in February. The societies also are really good.

Hostel Facilities

3

Okay, so I availed hostel facility and honestly this was not upto the mark, Although hostel life with your friends is a very nice experience. The mess food but don't expect you'll get tasty food every day. Many times we skipped mess. The rooms have only a fan and it is definitely not enough to endure the heatwaves nowadays, You can rent a cooler for your room. The washroom is shared by 5 people and in my personal opinion it was not a great experience but you will enjoy the hostel life even after these things.

Admission

B.Tech admissions in DTU happen by securing a minimum percentile in the Join entrance examination (JEE). It is conducted twice a year mainly in January and April shifts. Candidates score a percentile based on relative scores which are then considered for counseling and getting a college or branch later. The admission is then done through JAC Counselling in which you have to fill in your choices and get document verification as per the rules then you can deposit the fees at the institution and you are enrolled then.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty members are qualified well in their profession. Most of them hold PhD degrees and have excellent knowledge in their fields. Faculty to student ratio is nominal. The faculty members are always there to help and resolve the doubts of students and there is no such complaint you can have if you put regular efforts into your studies. But there are flaws in every place so some teachers however honestly don't know how to teach even though they might have the knowledge. So don't expect to learn anything in their class, you'll have to make your efforts for the learning part there.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.
