Remarks

First come first serve basis is followed by our college management it is a good thing

Entrance Preview

I opted for this college because of the compulsion of my parents and relatives and I enquired about the college in my surroundings I heard some good words from my surroundings and the college is suitable for middle-class students I planned to complete my ug here and save some money to my parents to complete my pg

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I'm basically good on computer science and I liked it I opted for it because of the modern world and the modern world is all about computers.it is a good curriculum for the course.it easy to learn and cover the portions when you love programming and attend your examinations

Internships Opportunities

Slightly No, It is the big drawback to the college because they don't provide any internship to the students.

Placement Experience

The placement opportunities are very good the faculties working hard for the placement of the students. Wipro the IT company comes to our college for the campus drive yearly once. There is a placement cell in our college and in every department, they appoint a placement officer

College Events

3.5

In our college, there are many symposia in departments like Exobiz for BBA, VARIT, and ITCONNECT for Information Technology, Tycoons for management studies...etc For the whole college we have college day. There are a lot of events conducted in every symposium including cultural

Fee Structure And Facilities

About the fees structure it is very feasible there are Govt aided and self-finance seats in our college Govt aided seats will be allocated based upon your HSC or UG marks.you can select Self-finance seats when you are not eligible for Govt aided seats. Maximum fees for Govt aided seats are rs.4000/semester and for Self-finance rs.11000/semester

Fees and Financial Aid

There are a lot of scholarship are available for students in our college they provide many self-financed you can apply govt scholarship, Hostel scholarship and also there are alumni scholarship

Campus Life

3.5

There is an equal number of boys and girls studying in our college but boys have a morning shift and girls have afternoon shift that was a little difficult when you came from co-education schools. But the environment was giving good gender equality in our college

Hostel Facilities

About the hostels, it is very good and there are nearly 3500 students are in hostels including pg students the hostel administration is very good the allotment of no of students is based on the room size. The mess food is not much taste but it is cheap and best. The foods are hygienic

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Ragging is strictly prohibited in our college. Ragging is not possible in our college it is a good thing seniors are very kind and helpful to their juniors. we have more alumni chapter across the world

Exam Structure

The exam structure was pretty good yearly we have two semesters in every semester we have two CIA tests for the internal marks they give internal marks based on the test performance in first CIA we need to cover half of the syllabus in second CIA we need to cover the full syllabus at the end we face the semester exams

Admission

I applied for the self-financed course in Bachelor of science in computer science the application form is worth of Rs.100 and filled it and submitted it on the same day itself I got the appointment of the admissions crew of the college and attended it.

Faculty

4.5

The faculties are good and well experienced in my college because they have enough experience to take care of the performance of the students they are not lethargic. They provide their best to the students they are well through in their respective fields

Nit Trichy B.Sc. B.ed. student review

girls to boys ratio is 1:1 is we consider all three branches with some courses with more male while other having for female.more or less the ratio is near 1:1
the most important thing for you is there is close to zero discrimination for you , whether you want to join any club or perform anything you are equivalent to students with others bachelor degree
octagon and library are the two things which are good as library is considered the biggest library among all nit's while octagon having 800 computers for students.NSO ground is also well maintained with the beautiful mig fighter jet to take cool phot

Dislikes

for first years hostel are well maintained if compared with others but don't expect much from hostel atlast this is a government college.in first year 3 to 4 person sharing room are there which was build to carry 2 person.
Quant and entrepreneur thing is not there as you might expect by seeing the nirf 9 ranking but it is not zero .they are growing clubs like profNITT and Sigma are young and they could do better
curfew timing for girls are 9 or 9:30 pm i guess be it any year. for boys ,only freshers have curfew with timing 9:30 pm.other than that any student can't step outside the college after 10 pm without the sign out form.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course as maths is the mother of all science and quite related to other fields so it opens a lot of door for me like mba ,mtech ,phd or any other things. this course is specifically designed for becoming teachers so keep that in mind before taking this course as they are not flexible in changing curriculum or adding something for the sake of students as of now. also you will be having more working days compared to other courses with 80 percent mandatory attendance.after first sem you will get 1 week holiday and after 2nd sem you will get 50.days holiday and after first year you can expect 20 days holiday for winters and 50 days holiday for summers. you will get a lot of time to study for exams. before ct 1 you can expect 2 months and then atleast a month for ct 2 and endsems. cons are that you don't have the right to choose minor or electives like btech students.you have to compulsory study all three science .i.e. maths , physics, chemistry.

The faculties are very well experienced and there are captains who stay in the campus itself, so if there’s something we need they will be available all the time
The facilitieslike labs, ship in campus, DB tank facilities etc are top notch
The classrooms are fully air conditioned. There’s smart board. Overall everything is really good and also neat and clean

Dislikes

Galley food can improve a little and canteen is comparatively small for such a big campus
They are not conducting intra- college events and inter-college events is very less

Placement Experience:

Placements are really good in HIMT. I got placed in 1st year itself in MOLMI. All faculties try their best to prepare us for the placements and it shows in the placement interview also. Usually companies come for placements from 2nd year but there are some companies who want to take girl cadets 1st year itself. MOLMI, MOLTA etc came to our college for placements. After completion of the course, company will call for induction and accordingly they will call for joining the ship. For finishing the cadet ship , we have finish 12 months of sea time. After that a lot courses has to be done for appearing in 2 nd mates exam.
