What Students Say

Likes

Environment, infrastructure is quite good. Large campus about 950 acres.
Student activities center is really excellent.
The Faculty are students friendly they help personally and professionally.

Dislikes

Humidity is too much during hot days, irritating.
For each and everything we need to depend on cycling.
No much enjoyment or hangout places near campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

I am from mechanical engineering background, so for my career I felt material science will addon something special. IIT always go with teaching real world problems. No improvement is required for the course. Semester exams come every 4 months. Standard application oriented IIT level paper will be given.

Class Size: 8Course Fees: INR 76000 per year

Placement Experience

Campus placement are quite good. A person will good nskill set will definitely get a better package compared to others. Average package will be around 500000 and highest will go around 600000 depending on branch.

Fees and Financial Aid

Total fee including tution plus hostel for semester will come around 40000. We need to apply for different scholarships depending on our own eligibility. I personal receive Mtech stipend from government.

Campus Life

Campus Life is peaceful. For entertainment we always have clubs. Every week we will have some or the other program. DJ nights, Dance performance, Guest lectures etc. we have all kinds of sports. Swimming u is yet to open.

Admission

We need a valid GATE score. Cutoff will go around 500 GATE score every year. For reservation candidate it will be around 400. During admission process each student is guided by a senior student in each and every step.

Faculty

In our department this year there are 16 faculty and 8 students in a Mtech. So they give enough time for each student. Faculty are highly qualified, post doc. from Germany, Phd from IIT. They are always ready to support students.

IIIT Bhubaneswar Review

Placement Experience:

The college has a good placement record and especially for CSE. The college has a 100% placement record. The college placement committee is helpful and guides us during the college placement drive and they really provide some tips and tricks to clear the placement rounds. The highest package for our batch was around 40 LPA and the average package was approx 15 LPA which really very good. The college gives us a good return on investment. Companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Mindtree, Infosys, IBM, TCS, Google, Infosys, etc participate in the college placement drive.

Placement Experience:

Apple, Amazon, TCS, Microsoft, Huawei, and several other companies visited my college. Filling out the company's form and completing a brief task demonstrating your knowledge in learning and academics was the placement method. The paperwork is then submitted and read by them, after which they conduct an interview with you, asking you a few questions about your studies and assessing your sense of humour and personality development. Later, we receive our confirmation of entering the job by email. Several other companies that you chose and rejected also make new offers to entice you to join the department.
