Good placements Cons: Some the faculty are young and in post graduation Fee is quite heavy.

Entrance Preview

First things first iam in dilemma of which branch to choose so I have done quite research on all the available streams of btech. Finally i came to a conclusion that Electrical engineering is my cup of tea since I had interest in how electricity is generated and distributed and all that stuff.Next thing is deciding which college to join.so based on my EAMCET rank which is 21356 i prepared a list of colleges which I can join based on the cutoff the respective college. And i came to know that JBIET has quite a reputation and moreover it's an autonomous college and is ranking in top 10 colleges in hyderabad and the faculty are seniors and experienced.Hence i opted for this college .

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I Opted for EEE as I said earlier i had a keen interest on electricity generation and distribution. And my college has some good faculty in Electrical department and they supported me through my course. The labs are well epuipped and intact. There were 2 semesters each year and also internal exams and lab exams every semester.

Internships Opportunities

Yes there are internships .I have done an internship in BHEL in hyderabad. The experience was good and learned a lot.I got 8000 as monthly stipend.

Placement Experience

4

There were a lot of companies which came to my college and selected candidates .The packages range from 3.5 lakh per annum to 8 lakh per annum. There were companies like Infosys,TCS,Accenture,Wipro,Cognizant,Tech mahendra,IBM,Cape gemini etc which recruited more than 700 candidates.

College Events

4

There were a lot of events celebrated in my college.Every year there used to be technical fests and cultural fests.Fests are very helpful in galing knowledge and there will be a lot of fun.We used to give power point presentation and they helped a lot in interviews. And there comes the Annual day.APJ Abdul kalam was the chief guest to our annual day .By this you can get an idea of how grandly the fests and other cultural activities are conducted.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is not very expensive and also not very low.I paid 52k for every year as I have no fee reimbursement. If you have fee reimbursement 35000 will be excluded from your fee and you have to pay only the remaining.Library fee will be around 8000 for 4 years and that's all you have to pay

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes there are scholarships for merit students who got rank below 10000 in eamcet.Abd if you are unable to pay the college fee you can take educational loan also .

Campus Life

4

Campus life is excellent filled with fun. There is no gender ratio all are treated equally and given equal opportunities.Three is a Student activity centre (SAC) in which you can join and it is very helpful facing challenges .SAC conducts all the events in the college and thus we come to know all the ups and downs in our career.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel is quite good and rooms are spacious .There are attached bathrooms for each room.Geberalky there are 3 to 4 persons per each room.Coming to mess food it is not that bad and is eatable and also not excellent .The fee for both hostel and mess was 4000.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are very helpful and supportive. There is no ragging .I would say without the help of seniors you can't grow in college.

Exam Structure

There were 2 semesters each year. There are also mid exams each semester and lab internals .Generally there are 2 mid exams each semester and 2 lab internals .So they were not hectic and frequent .It used to be chilled out environment but the exams gave us good analysis of how much we have learned and on what topics we should concentrate more.

Admission

I got admitted to my college based on my eamcet rank which is 21356.The cut off is 22000 for my branch EEE.So after getting my eamcet result there was a procedure for verifying the certificates and filling the options for available colleges.I remember i prepared a list of 15 top colleges in hyderabad. Among those i got JBIET in first counselling. So iam happy and want to join and went to the college which is in outskirts of hyderabad .As I entered the college the environment there made me feel good and Iam happy .So I filled all the required forms and procedure for joining and on the same day i joined in the college hostel in the campus itself. The hostel building is new and the rooms are spacious and the warden is very friendly so are the roommates. So that's how I got admitted into my college.

Faculty

4

The faculty are very friendly and are ready to solve my doubts at any time Most of them are senior faculty and are post graduates in electrical subjects. So there are no issues in faculty and teaching.Only issue is that some of them are young and still doing their post graduation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Placement cell is least active.. Few good companies like Infosys, amazon, TCS etc visited but the average package is of 1-2 LPA and only 25-30% of students whose all exams are cleared can sit in the placement cell. The highest package is of 8LPA. My plan is to move abroad for higher studies.. The students after completion of 6th sem can sit in placement cell

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
