Course Curriculum Overview

2

I secured 80 percentile in CET exam so i opted for KIT and i secured a seat in Electical Engineering. We have around 5 Theory subjects and 3 Lab Practicals in our Branch. I think the theory Papers and classes are totally irrelevant to the Real - world Applications Although the lab practicals teachs us Matlab and other softwares along with Machine labs which is pretty Useful and relevent to the real world applications.

Placement Experience

3.5

We have Decent placements in KIT. Companies like Tata power, Adani, ITC, and others come here for Placements and mass recruitments although the average package here is around 3 to 5 lakhs only. The highest package here was 41 lakh which was offered by Adobe for a girl in Cse brach.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure differs here on reservations basis. For General category students the overall fee is 92000 rs. For EWS 50 percent fee is off that is 46000. For SC and ST categories the Fees are minimum that is around 12000 . For EWS ,Sc and St we get scholarships.

Campus Life

3.5

We have lots of clubs in KIT. We have separate Department Clubs like Elsa, Mesa, etc. The sports clubs are few. I myself is part of Basketball club of our College. We have a huge annual festival here called Meraki. The library here is decent. It has all preety much all books available here but sometimes they dont have the particular Editions of the books. The library here is huge. In classrooms we have cctv cameras, we have blackboard as well as a smartboard.

Admission

For Electrical Engineering the cutoffs were 76 percentile in Common Entrance test (CET) and scored 80 percentile so I was eligible for the seat. For Admission process we have to contact the office of KIT for admission form. Admission process is Lengthy in KIT.

Faculty

3

Our Class is Divided to 3 batches so at lab practical the Faculty student ratio is almost 25 students to 1 faculty. On the Other Hand on theory classes all the batches have same faculty for teaching. Our HOD is PHD in Electrical. He has good knowledge of subjects but he lacks to express and to treach them.

Other Applied Colleges

DY Patil College of Engineering and Technology - [DYPCET] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering)

The Placements and Average Salary for Placements were Far better in KIT as conpared to DYP college of Enginnering. So i opted for Kit instead of DYP.

Placement Experience:

The faculty-to-student ratio is about 1:20, and most teachers are quite approachable if you meet them during their free slots. I really appreciate the senior professors in the core departments because they have deep subject knowledge and explain concepts practically. However, some newer faculty members tend to stick strictly to the textbook or slides, which makes the lectures a bit dry. Since the college follows the SPPU pattern. I chose this course after a long CAP round process. Initially, I was aiming for VIT or DY Patil in Pune, and even checked out colleges in Mumbai and MVP KBTCOE in Nashik, but I ultimately landed here at AISSMS. The curriculum is quite comprehensive for building a strong engineering foundation, though I feel it could include more industry-relevant tools and coding workshops.

Placement Experience:

The placments are overall moderately good especially if you are from electrical branches including Electrical , Electronics, Computer, and Instrumentation Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. From third year onwards internship season starts where companies visits our campus and students need to go through online tests and series of interviews for each companies to get offer where the students selected for offer need to attend the internship after the end of third year in may and june when college have holidays. Similarly Based on performance the interns may get full time offer as well. Full Time Placement starts in final year and the process is exactly same where the interviews are mostly online and the students placed gets the offer letter. Almost 90 - 95% of the students especially of above branches gets placed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

So the Computer Engineering is all about core subjects which are really helpful for future like cloud, iot and Database etc But the syllabus of the university change after every 4 years and there is nothing but removing one subject and add another similar subject but I think in era of Ai and automation the syllabus is sort of outdated like if you are getting in Second year you have to learn subject which you have not interested in so you have to learn those subjects anyway and if you want to learn more about new skills you have to do it by yourself.
