What Students Say

Likes

The environment was very good, the staff was very coperative and friendly, the campus was very beautiful.
The food in hostel was very good, and the facilities were nice too. One feeled home there.
Exams were on time and the results too, and exams were very good level

Dislikes

For bus boarding students one has to wait a lot for buses to leave at their proper time.
At my time there were huts used for classes , and it was very hard for summers to study in those hot huts.

Course Curriculum Overview

Being in a civil engineering course the project work and the surveying camps help us a lot in the feild work concepts , like road survey, working with cement work in labs make us aware about the practical aspects.

Internships Opportunities

Surely speaking at my time as i am 2017 passout i didn't find anything like that, but now the university is on boom , courses have beem added a lot, and various internships are provided for the students

Placement Experience

•After completing degree •i would say during my time i didn't find any campus placement but right now they are pacing like in Jsw etc. • preparing for state je exams. •good number of students are getting placed not knowing the percentage

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee was 36500 per sem without bus charges or hostel charges with was according to the route of different students, and scholarships were different like i had applied for Moma(merit cum means) which was based on merit, i got 25000 per sem. Which helped me a lot to bear my little expenses. Campus opportunities were also nice.

Campus Life

Yimberzal, wastoorwan etc There are lot of books available in university library (rumi library) which the most beautiful part of the campus. AC'S,good furniture, mic system, projector. Basketball court is there in campus and a lot of sports activities.

Hostel Facilities

In room 3 students need to share . 3 chairs, beds, study tables of good furniture, cupboards 3 , mirror, breakfast ,lunch, dinner and butter, jam. Vegetables and non veg is scheduled Students living far can only avail hostel facilities Awantipora is the locality one can rent a room

Hostel Fee: INR 12000 per year

Admission

For me it was AIEEE entrance by which i got selected in this university. Eligibility was 12th non med . I was an open merit candidate so dont know much about reservation. You can visit iust.ac.in after appearing in the said entrance exam ,and knowing your score apply here. Per semester we were having exams, 2 minor and one major. Increase intake that is what i would suggest.

Faculty

Talking about qualification, it was mtech , phd . They teach in a very nice way, helping us in any way, making us clear each and everything. And if one faces any kind of doubt , they manage doubt clearing session's. That help a lot

My opinion about nit

Likes

I like the diversity and culture of college students come from all states each festival is celebrated with fun .
The infrastructure is good providing facilities like library, amphitheatre, auditorium etc.
I like college ground where we can walk and relieve from academics

Dislikes

College infrastructure can be improved in rainy season there is water accumulation at many places , water drainage system should be there .

Placement Experience:

In 7th semester student become eligible for placement. The companies visited are L &T for civil which is big company and select many students, jsw for mechanical and increff , paypal , microsoft, visa ,make my trip for IT and CSE

Likes

One thing I liked about my college is Huge campus area.
Other thing l liked about my college is good infrastructure
Another thing I liked about my college is well experienced faculty

Dislikes

The thing I disliked about my college is delay in your any complain

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements in 8th semester. Companies like L&T construction, Ambuja cement, tata , wipro, jio , Berger, infosys, IBM and many more visit the college. Highest package is around 17 LPA and average package is around 5 LPA . Almost 30 percent students get placement. My plan is to get off campus placement.

Likes

College's weather is too pleasant and the air quality is also good
The environment is also very good and also the view is very nice
Seniors are very friendly in college and also the college has strict punishment for ragging.

Dislikes

The hostel food is not upto the level that a student expect.
The facility sometimes does not able to connect with Students
Hostels are very far away from the department and students have to move very far from the hostel

Placement Experience:

The placement of our college is Average and the students are eligible in 7 semester for placement. If the student has any backlog in any of the semester they can't sit in the college placement and also it has minimum criteria of 6.5 cgpa. The percentage of students getting placement is very low sadly

A comprehensive Review

Likes

Firstally i like in my college is hostel it is located in college campus .
The second thing like in my college is campus area located in between mountain.
the last thing is about one teacher he help me in everything.

Dislikes

The first thing i do not like is transport in my college it is the major problem in my college.
The second thing is there are no proper lectures everyday one of them faculty is absent
The last thing is not a proper medical facielities

Placement Experience:

The placement at my college are fairly strong, with a focus on proving opportunities for student in both technical field and non-technical fields. various reputed companies visit our campus for placement like TCS, infosys, and many more.The highest package aroun INR 40 LPA. the majority of the offers are for cybersecurity. My plan is for business after the degree.
