Course Curriculum Overview
MBBS course is a 5.5 year course.First year is a bit of hassle as we are getting introduced into a new environment First year subjects- Anatomy,physiology and biochemistry.These lay the foundation for our upcoming subjects In second year we have pathology,microbiology and pharmacology.Pathology is very much important as it very useful in medicine.Same goes for pharmacology to know the drug used for treatment. Third year deals with forensic medicine and community medicine Fourth year we have medicine,obs,pediatrics,ent and ophthalmology Then there is a compulsary internship for 1 year Exams are well conducted each year.There are many internal exams.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees is 25k per year.There is reduction in fees for OEC,SC,ST. There are scholarships for students There is no campus employment in mbbs There is no hike for tuition fees here . Fees are reduced compared to private institutions
Campus Life
Campus life is very much good.There are many clubs like arts club,sports club,music club There are lot of functions conducted by the union which helps us to break free from the stressful academic life.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are okay.There will be 4 people in one room and when you do internship,one will get a single room.Hosfel fees are around 4000.Mess food is quite good.whne compared to other colleges mess.
Admission
I got a rank of 3000 for neet .And I got admission through kerala rank Eligibilty to write neet is that u should take biology in plus 1 and plus 2.Then get good rank to get into medical college Admission process was at the college after getting alloted
Faculty
There are lot of faculties.They are highly educated and renowned doctors who holds multiple degrees.They are very helpful in clearing doubts and teaching us the practical side.There separate mentors for each unit so we get more student- faculty connection.
