Remarks

VBIT is the place where opportunities are provided for students to realize their ambitions, where new ideas are born, where innovative projects materialize, and where students excel in learning. The sprawling 10.2 acre campus has state-of-the-art teaching facilities to train students in emerging technologies.

Entrance Preview

I chose this college because it had a good infrastructure, central library, a huge ground, Eco-Friendly and peaceful environment. The ground was really big which had badminton, volleyball, basketball, kabaddi courts and even for cricket and football. The campus has free Wi-Fi, and Hostel facilty and a cafeteria too..!

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is well planned, smooth and executed well. It's planned in such a way that students don't feel uncomfortable with the course duration and lack of time is also dealt with. There is also a "College Academic Council" which directs the academic functions of the institute.

Internships Opportunities

As I'm still in my 2nd year i don't know completely about the internship the college is providing to the students.

Placement Experience

3.5

Last year 139 of our seniors got placed in really good companies. Every year many of them are placed in Amazon, Flipkart, other good companies with a package of 10-15 lakhs/annum. Other companies included - Wipro, Just dial, Technovert, ZenQ, Head Infotech, Genpact, Bosch, Byju's, Cv Corp, Hexaware technologies etc.

College Events

5

Every year our college has many number of events which were - Technical, Cultural and Management Festivals. The academic events like paper presentations, poster presentations, national & international conferences, seminars, technical symposiums, college festivals, guest lecturers on trending technologies and on academic subjects etc. These all help the students to develop their technical knowledge and competitive spirit to communicate with the world.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For B-Tech it's - 67,000/-Per annum for both convener quota and management quota. For transport it is 10,000-20,000/- which depends on the distance. And fees include - Library, University, Lab, Library etc which is around - 10000/-. The Hostel fees is 70000/- per year. Compared to other colleges the fees is okay according to the facilities provided my the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have availed scholarship from college under the convener quota. So there is a good scholarship facility in our college.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus Life is great. Apart from academics we also have plenty of time for sports, extracurricular activities, technical and cultural events and competitions. There are nearly 42-45 Forums in our college and daily there will be an event of any of these forums. Those events are fun, competitive and also improve our skills.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The Hostels are really nice. The rooms are large with capacity of 4 persons per room. Facilities include - comfortable accommodation, hygienic and delicious food, hi-speed internet access, Reading room, dispensary, well-equipped gym, recreation center with indoor Games, mineral water plant, 24 hr water supply, 24 hr electricity with back-up, 24 hr security. The Food is really good. There is a weekly menu with different dishes daily and the menu changes every month.

Alumni/Alumna

The Seniors are resourceful and friendly. They help us academic wise and also technical wise. They treat us well like their younger brothers and our college is also ragging free.

Exam Structure

As we are under JNTUH - we have 2 semesters in a year. In each semester, there are 2 Mid exams and 2 lab internals conducted and 1 lab external exam before the semester. The exam schedule was planned very well and it was not very frequent. We had plenty of time to study for the exams..!

Admission

Firstly I wrote TS-EAMCET entrance exam. I was allotted in this college after the counselling. I went to the college for the admission and submitted all my certificates in the college and got verified, paid the fees which included university, library, transport and tuition fees.

Faculty

4.5

The Faculty of our college is really friendly but also strict. They take care of each and every student and they are always available 24/7 if any of the student face problems academic wise. They also conduct counselling sessions to improve students mentality.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Placement cell is least active.. Few good companies like Infosys, amazon, TCS etc visited but the average package is of 1-2 LPA and only 25-30% of students whose all exams are cleared can sit in the placement cell. The highest package is of 8LPA. My plan is to move abroad for higher studies.. The students after completion of 6th sem can sit in placement cell

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
