Remarks
The college maintain very good discipline in the primises and also have cc camera installed everywhere for students safety. Have very good bus facilities. The college management is quite good and friendly.
Entrance Preview
It is the best private college in chittoor after vidyaniketan. I haven't got seat in the second one in counseling. Hence eventually i got this college. This college also have very good training and placement program which i came to know, obviously after joining it's true they are taking special care in training from 3rd year itself and many students are placed in companies every year.
Course Curriculum Overview
The B.tech curriculum that I had when I am studying is JNTU Anantapur R09 regulation. The R09 regulation syllabus is not up to the mark and doesn't have advanced subjects. R09 regulation hasn't included signals and systems subject which is one of the most important subjects for the GATE exam. But after SVCET become autonomous the curriculum is very well planned, revised and included advanced subjects, job oriented subjects in a sequential manner.
Internships Opportunities
When i am studying there are no internship and such things. I don't know about current status. But my college guides research scholars doing Ph.d
Placement Experience
The placements are very good, if one takes the placements serious then he/she will have job at the end of college. The college has a very good training program from starting of the 3rd year itself which can ensure a job in any company. College provides both On-campus and Off campus recruitments. MNC s like TCS, TECH MAHINDRA, NTT DATA, INFOSYS, and many other companies come for recruitment. But core companies don't come much compared to IT companies.
College Events
Many events like Fresher's day for the first year students, Farewell party for final year students, teachers day, republic day, independence day etc are celebrated. Mainly a big event called Selesta is celebrated once in every two years, in which film celebrities are invited.
Fee Structure And Facilities
When i am studying i got total fee reimbursement from the money paid to college by the Andhra Pradesh government. But now after the college fees are raised after reimbursement might me around 30000 rupees might have to paid by students. Apart from tution fee they won't collect much money.
Fees and Financial Aid
I don't think any scholarship is provided by this college. Regarding loans also the college themselves might not provide but give necessary support to get loan from banks.
Campus Life
On campus life is awesome the college have a very big play ground, volleyball court, cricket ground etc. The college encourages the students who are interested in sports. The labs of all branches are very well equipped. Many symposium, seminar, paper presentation, workshops are done every year. The gender ratio is abou 6:4 between boys and girls.
Hostel Facilities
I don't know anything about hostel since i haven't stayed there. But as per my friend review who stayed in the hostel facilities are quite good, since many FOREIGN students also study here so wide varieties of food is served with high quality. The college mess have reasonable prices with good quality food.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network is good, the college gets the senior students who are placedin campus placements and working in companies to give suggestions about jobs, interviews etc.,
Exam Structure
When i was studying under jntu anantapur R09 regulation there are 6 theory subjects and two practical subjects per semester. The theory subjects have a total evaluation of 100 marks out of which 30 marks are evaluated in internal exams and remaining in external. Now the exam pattern may be changed after Autonomous.
Admission
Being a diploma student, i had two ways to join in engineering colleges to do B.tech. one way is to write IIT JEE and the other is AP ECET. At that time i didn't even know what is JEE exam, so i wrote AP ECET, got 900+ rank, opted vidyaniketan in first option and svcet in second option because of low rank and general category i got this college. But i felt very happy and satisfied to join in this college.
Faculty
Some faculty of SVCET college are of good standard and some other are of average standard. In-depth teaching of a subject is not done but as per the curriculum they teach all the concepts in all the subjects very well. All the faculty members have lots of patience and clear the doubts as much as they can. Overall the faculty is average.
