Course Curriculum Overview

5

I opted for BSc. LL.B course that the college has offered. As students we are being taught science subjects like Biotechnology, Physics, and Chemistry alsong with the Law subjects. Both of these are taught simultaneuosly. The science subjects are taught by the professors of B.Tech - which enables us to study and learn the subjects the way B.Tech students do. We are also provided with hands-on experience with practicals. Since we belong to humanities stream, the professors make sure to help us understand all the concepts clearly and ina easy way. The level of difficulty of exams is medium.

Internships Opportunities

As a 2nd year student i have been doing internships under high court advocates in my city. A lot of soft skills including communication, team work etc and legal work like drafting petition, affidavit, and notices have been taught to me.

Faculty

4.5

One class size is about 90. The classroom has smart boards which enable the professor to teach such a large size of class efficiently. The faculty has adopted a very student-friendly approach to teaching subjects under the Law. Through fun activities and assignments, that also carry our internal marks, and games and videos in the classroom, students are being made to understand difficult topics. Most of the faculty members are NLU graduates, Graduates from foreign law universities, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

BA LLB (Hons) is an integrated course that offers dual degree. The first two years curriculum covers the Humanitites subjects and few law subjects; while the last three years focuses on only the law subject. The curriculum has included all the major legal subjects and thus overall is designed to make the mot of the five years. There are three permanent faculties but many guest faculties will be dealing with several aspects of law. The batch strength is 60 and therefore, each student gets the required attention. The faculties of the college are highly experienced. The permanent facultites have a post doctoral degree in the relevant subject. The teaching method however, is quite traditional. A student may not find the classes interactive. Every semester, the students are evaluated by an internal test, a viva and a semester examination. The internal test and viva carry a weightage of 10 marks each while the semseter carries a weightage of 80 marks. Scoring marks can be a bit difficult.
