- The weather here is too cold so for the students who are allergic to cold might cause some issues/problems.
- Travelling issue as it is located on tophills of srinagar .
- Must be a problematic for those who are vegetarian as outside non veg in dominating .
Course Curriculum Overview
Firtstly you have to choose the course in which you are intrested in future to work .Secondly college curriculam is also very awesome suppose you choose COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING here or any branch in first semester each and every branch holder will be taught with the same subject to get the practical knowledge of engineering .Engineering is what you have practical skills and knowledge this college's curriculum will help to excel .College curriculum will enhance your critical thinking .I think such an awesome curriculum would not requires to change.The exams are two only in each semester firt is mid semester in which half syllabus will come and of 26 marks and second is end semester in which full syllabus will come of 50 marks and 26 marks are for internal assessment (attendance 75%, projects ,assignments ,class interaction ).
Internships Opportunities
In internship opportunities are also there opens for candidates after clearing second semester with good marks .Companies likes jio samsung nvidea,reliance,and government companies also visits to hire students.some get stipened internships while some get unstipend internships. stipened varies between 20 to 60 thousands per month.
Placement Experience
From 7 semester students are elegible to give placements and internship opportunities open after completing 4 semester.Companies like infosys , nvidia , tech mahindra , tata tcs , wipro , vedanta , and far more companies psu also gail , bhel , hp , bp if no placements you get then you have the chance of offcampus placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
tution fees-So, basically according to government policies the fee structure is classified into 3 types on the basis of family income .If your family income is less than 1lakhs then you have not to give tution fees only mess and hostel fee is required 18 thousand .If family income in between 1 lakh to 5 lakh per annum then 2/3 fees of tution got deducted and you have to give almost 60 thousands.If above 5 lakh family income then full fee you have to give almost 1 lakh in a semester. scholarships-you will get NSP scholarship if you are eligible obc,st,sc candidates. campus employment and job roles-you will get a highly paying job if you study well here you will land with a handsome package after the completion of your btech degree.
Campus Life
Campus life is very good you can explore here too much you have to opportunities here to visit in tourist places by which you can get the overall idea of types of peoples and their nature of talking . In a year two fest are there One is tech fest (Techvaganza) and another one is cultural fest (Rang-e-Chinar) both are of next level .The classromms are fully air conditioned with high 5g network fully airy rooms with high definitoned smart boards to teach students more practically and effectively.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is also good you can get LAN port and good hi speed wifi with less buffering.You will get good drinking water here Ro filtered water rooms are clean on daily basis .Bathroom are also very neat and clean washed daily by a servant . Hostel rooms are good spaced accomodating space of there rooms is 6 students varied from hostel to hostel in first year you will get manasbal hostel each room will have strength of 6 students , 2 year indus hostel each room with space of 5 students, 3 year chenab same like indus but fourth year is amazing single room jhelum hostel.
Admission
Through jee mains for btech. Through GATE for mtech candidates. eligibilty of the course btech is of 4 years and of mtech is 2 years. you can find application form after clearing jee mains and Doing JOSSAA and CSAB councelling. reservation on the basis of category of the student.
Faculty
The faculty ratio depends on branch wise but faculty ratio is good and in nit srinagar CIVIL and MECHANICAL branch are accreditated by NAAC.So obviously faculty members are good and enough educated .Teaching methods of faculty are also on top notch level you can get practical knowldege by smart screens ,labs ,workshops etc are also held to teach student about practical knowldege of a subject.Teachers class is also very interactive and you can ask questions ,doubts related to that topic and they will clear very well.
