What Students Say

Likes

The best faculty for chemistry, the college is known for its chemistry department

Dislikes

No proper sports day or sports promotion between students

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The curriculum includes maths and physics as complimentary subjects till the 4th semester, which will definitely help if you're taking your masters after this since maths and physics will be a part. The curriculum does have some cons like there are many unwanted topics in chapters which are not even related.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 12000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fees is pretty normal if you consider the avg govt college fees. Costed me 6k a semester which is actually good for a bachelors degree. Scholarships are available but are hard to get accepted since they only look for people who are in a particular category. There's no campus placement.

Campus Life

3.5

There is an annual fest which happens every year called SNC FEST. Everyone can participate in this for their desired performances. The library is pretty good but most students don't use it. It's upto date and has question papers for every year. Sports club is non-existent to be honest, people who know each other in the sports department get into games. There is NSS AND NCC in college as well.

Admission

There was no entrance exam for this particular college. You have apply to the kerala university website and they'll allot colleges according to your 12th class marks. There are reservations available but I didn't avail any. All the details about the application will be available in the Kerala University website itself. There is management quota as well for which you have to contact the college management itself.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty is really good, they help you well in labs and projects. Faculty is highly qualified as well. The teaching mostly straightforward, they teach from the basics to the advanced things in the given syllabus so that everyone understands the topic.

Academic excellence in a beautiful campus

Likes

Academic excellence is there. 90 % of students are merit based admission, those who have achieved 90 and above percentage in 12 th grade. So there is high passing percentage.
Cultural programs are regularly conducted. Don't feel stressed out by studies

Dislikes

Sports activities are not regularly conducted or encouraged
Chemistry lab is not clean, chemicals are not kept correctly

Course Curriculum Overview:

My favourite subject is biology. I have applied for zoology course but unfortunately there is no seats available at that time, so I chose Botany which is also my favourite. The curriculum is perfect and prepares for real world. More practical sessions are needed. Every 6 months there will be semester exam. Which is not that much tough.

College lacks infrastructure and ample space for the ease of college excitement but the college offers a great field of laboratories and on-site experience in the field the faculty and lectures sometimes involve too much into their personal life than minding their own business.

SN College Review

I have applied in many other colleges such as University College, MG College, Arts College, Mar Ivanios College,National College etc. I did not intentionally chose this college. I got this in management quota. I did get a rejection from all the other colleges due to low academic performance. The admission of this college takes places under the guidelines and laws published by the University of Kerala. There are management quota, merit quota, community quota. If we are taking admission in merit quota, only marks is checked, we need to have high marks. Community and management quotas should pay the prescribes fees. We have to submit a copy of 10 and 12 mark certificate. Proper admission helpdesks are provided in the college which makes the admission procedure very easy. Students of merit quota need not have to pay any additional fees to the management but students of community quota and management quota should pay fees to the ma.
