Likes

The infrastructure is good having trees in the garden area make it looking amazing .Inhaling fresh air
The fee system is very good .Unlike the other engineering institutions where the fee is very high .Fee system allows less burden on the middle class families .My fees here as a cse student is around 95k for a year .For 4 years it is around 4 lakhs
The college library is very good having many useful books for the students and atmosphere is quiet Good

Dislikes

The biggest issue in this college is the Attendance issue that really affects the acedmics of student .You will get 0 marks out of 6 even after having 75% of attendance.It increases by 1 mark on every 5% attendancefor example1 mark for 80% 6 for 100%
The teachers here are just there for attendance they don't teach well just theory theory here .They can't make you industry ready . They just go behind marks and appreciate people who are cramming only.
Placements here are not that they claim!! They claim the highest package to be 70 Lpa but that person had *off campus placement*.There are many such cases .

Course Curriculum Overview

You have exams every month 2 times mid semester tests then end sem (finals) examination.What i feel is the time gap is very low .For a student to excel in the acedmics area there it requires some more time .You can't be industry ready after studying from here you have to learn alottt on your own .The curriculum is not so good

Internships Opportunities

There are campus internships that is AICTE certified both paid and unpaid internships are available that are average .I mean you can gain experience but average in terms of getting paid!!. Also there are different roles of internships that can be accessed by internshala as well from data entry to social marketing

Placement Experience

From 6th sem the students are eligible for campus placements .The companies coming here are Infosys,Wipro,tcs which recruits students in bulk.companies like zscaler recruits at good packages like 10 lpa .Syndigo,Maxar have gave the highest packages of the campus history to the students of 54lpa and 70 Lpa respectively (but they are off campus) . Around 60-70% students gets placed

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee is not bad .as an cse student you will have to spend around 4 lakh or 4.1 lakh for entire 4 years including all the travelling, examination fees , uniform and other charges .There are many scholarship available for SC/ST students allowing them to have the burden released from their family .Campus placements are not so great but yeah you can enter the industry .Infosys ,Wipro ,TCS are the companies that recruit the students in bulk (in large quantities).but tech Giants like Microsoft visits rhe campus once in 3-4 years

Campus Life

The student life is good .They bring Good singers for the enjoyment occasionly .the range of books and journals available is really huge .The library ks best thing of the college .There are multiple clubs like club on public speaking communication skills, singing,dancing, Acting/mimicry, shayri , photography,Art and craft.there are very much extra curricular activities available in the campus from dancing to sports the number is really huge .Cricket , volleyball, badminton are the sports I have seen here.But the negative thing is that Computers in labs are highly outdated and terrible of 2005-06 like 2 gb Ram on hard disk .Your projects gets corrupted in the Labs and causes anxiety

Admission

You can have admission to the college by Management quota also .For entering in CSE branch you should have 12th passed percentage of 75% +. Non JEE aspirants don't have difficulty to grab a seat here .if you have JEE exam then you are easily eligible for the college

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is 1:60 approx for CSE . Their teaching method is really old school type and they don't adapt with time they just make you learn the theory areas .For example in web development they will teach you html and will tell you that how much types of css is there and faculty will expect you to make the giant web pages .I feel like they do just formality they don't care about the students and always they run behind the attendance criteria forcing you to come every day that is technically not possible

My Experince at Chandigarh University: Campus Life, Learning and Growth

Likes

The campus is beautiful, spacious, and offers good infrastructure with modern facilities.
The university provides good exposure to technical courses, eventrs , clubs, and extracurricular activities.
The campus has good labs, a library, and facilities that support students academic development.

Dislikes

The fees are high and losing a scholarship due to cgpa requirements can create a significant financial burden.
More personalized mentorship and regular career guidance sessions would help student prepare for their future carees.
more internship opportunities would further improve students professional growth.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the CSE curriculum covers relevant subjects and provides a good foundation programming and computer science. It prepares students for futher studies and careers, through more industry-based projects and practical learning would be bemigficial. Exams include MSTs and ESTs, with a manageable difficulty level through regi;ar preparation.

I like infrasture and the campus facilites most.
Events and fests are also good and orgainsed regularly.
Students get more opportunities here in university.

Dislikes

Hostel food is not good but eatable and enough.
Dresscode is on wednesday that is must to wear.
Massive campus you may face difficulty in roaming.

The curriculum covrs important computer sciemce subject such as programming,DSA, java DBMS,OS and software development.These subjects influenced decisions to choose this course because they provide a stromg foumdation for software engineering . examinations include MST ,EST and assessments .

Chandigarh University the best university

Likes

college life of Chandigarh university is so good, all the events do happen .
teachers are so experienced and they are so supportive in here.
the placements in this university are great, all the big tech companies do visit while placements and provide jobs to the deserved students.

Dislikes

All the online courses should be reduced.
nothing is there in the university that is to dislike.
majority of the things are all good in our university.

Placement Experience:

The placemnets in the university starts from the 3 year only. companies comes in the 3rd year, students= can give interviews in this year, and they can get the NOC. wich means you can go for the job or the iinternship and there is no need to take the classes, because you are taking the indyustry level experience in the prior basis also.

my overall experience at the college has been good so far
the faculty members are generally helpful
campus life is active with various cultural and technologies events

Dislikes

one thing i feel can be improved is the amount of pratical and industry oriented learning
some claases can be more theroy oriented so more hands on activities and pratical sessions would be beneficial
during major events and peak hours the campus become crowded

A Balaced College Experience With Great Campus Life

Likes

i like everthing about the college.
i like the supportive faculty behaviour.
the college also provide placement guidance.

Dislikes

Some areas could be improved especially the placement.
A few courses felt more theory focused than industry oriented.
Student enagement oppourtunities would make campus life better.

I would rate the course around 5 . i choose the courser because it provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and paractical concepts relevant to my career goals as well.

Chandigarh university , but for real

Likes

campus life is absolutely banger and it is great to have friends here
crowd is bonkers , except some local peeps , they'd be behaving weird
major events like freshers and orientation , they bring crazzy artists

Dislikes

hectic schedules drain the soul of you .
frequent exams test that are totally unnecesary
attendance is another nuisance , having 75 percent is must

Placement Experience:

placements of 2.8 cr occured but it was only one , most of the placements packages go under 8 lpa and extra fees has to be paid in order to be eligible for placement drives and that too doen't ensure the placement

Likes

Events are more frequent here and most of the stars from punjabi industry are called more often for film promotions
No ragging is there infact seniors are friendly and try to help juniors
TPP (training and placement program) is provided that help students to crack placements

Dislikes

Attendance criteria (minimum 75 % is essential to maintain to be eligible to give exams)
Class timings are fixed from 9:15 to 4:35 and you can not enter in between 10 to 12:00 PM as gates are closed for this duration
Strength is rapidly increasing as new courses are introduced which increases competition during placements

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement students need to enroll in TPP(Training and placement program) in order to get eligible for campus placement, Many companies visit our campus for eg Capgemini, LNT, ZSCALER, EDIFECS, AMAZON, PWC, WATCHGUARD TECHNOLOGIES etc overall above 200 offerrs are made to our senior batch with the highest package of 32LPA and average package of around 4.5LPA. more than 60% of students get placed . I am also sitting for campus placement and wish to get placed soon

College Life is Fun, Various activities and events happen in and around college, you got to know about others and crowd is also decent, Mostly Students are from northern regions that is Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand .
Teachers are good and placement coordinators also help students to get good package on campus. a decent package can be bagged by a student if he/she seriously study and obtain a decent CGPA in exam. Make sure you clear all exams till 8th semester.
Infrastructure Is also good, laboratories are fitted with new desktops and campus size is also decent, Tuck shops and various Canteens are available inside the campus. Also Central Library is there inside the campus where students can study in exam t

Dislikes

The curriculum for 1st and 2nd semester is purely based on subjects that you studied in 11th and 12th, the advance versions of those topics are there in 1st and 2nd semester which make it difficult for students to get good grades.
The placement in other branches like Mechanical, electrical is mere, and one can face difficult in getting on campus placement if he/she belongs to these streams. Also Lack of practical knowledge is there in these streams, Theory is more focused.
If one opt for hostels, then the hostel facilities are not as good as it should be , the mess food is pathetic and one can face difficulty if he/she opt for hostel, also campartively hostel fees are also very high, whereas nearby Pg's are cheaper

Placement Experience:

placement is good in our college. Aveage package is 400000, and average package for cse stream is approx 500000. Various companies like alstom, infosys, accenture, TCS, Wipro, amazon, Walmart, JP Morgan chase and co. etc visit campus every year and recruit students. Approx 300+ companies visit campus and above 80% of cse students are placed but In other streams like ECE.EE and ME etc placements are campartively lower and students face difficulty in order to get placed. MY plan is job oriented i also want to get placed on campus and hope so i will get placed in a good company.

Affordable and Worth it !

I have chosen this college because it is near my house and have a good placement record. The college provides stable jobs in the placements. I have even applied for lpu, Dav University but this college is worth it. Dav University doesnt offer that much placements and LPU is very overrated. The admission process is very easy here. Students have to just score more than 80 percent for cse core btech or must be appeared in jee mains examination. Admission doesnt take that much time. Its very simple.
