Course Curriculum Overview

As my course is about electronics engineering Vlsi design.The courses are new and gives good groundwork to basics and the electives they provide is suitable for even industrial training. frequency of internal exams is once per month and there will be three internal exams.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 80000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The college has various internship opportunities either through the placement department or by working in a lab in assistance to a faculty. Intel, Zoho, and various companies provide good internships. Projects such as crowd management are done by our alumni in collaboration with the government on major celebrations.

Placement Experience

From 7 th semester, students are eligible for placements. Many companies such as intel and Zoho are visiting and about 600+ offers made. The highest package will be 34 LPA and the average will be 7 LPA percentage of placement is about 95%

Fees and Financial Aid

Upon fee structure compared to other tier-1 universities, it is sufficient can be managed. Hikes will be there per semester. Also, the complete cost for 4 years would be upto 10 Lakh if you are a hosteler. Various government and private scholarships are also provided.

Campus Life

We have 3 main events colleseum, Daksh and Kurukshetra. Also, we have a huge library with hundreds of books and journals including IEEE and Science Direct. Each class has a smart board and projector also with UPS. There are many clubs such as TECS, ASCIE, etc.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are good as per comparision to fees and other colleges.They provide various options such as 2in 1 and 3-in-1 rooms. Also some rooms with bath attached. Meal quality is good and taste is average. Registration process is online

Admission

The admission process is based on counselling which is done by ranking the applicants and also which is similar to jee counseling. There will be AIR ranks and Home state quota and nri quota for students. The ranking will be based on JEE and state board marks.

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio is 1:60. Has credit system basis of course syllabus and complexity. We can normally interact with teachers as they give permission at any time. Learning experience differs basis of the gpa you score and opportunities will be given.

Here there is no gender separation like boys and girls should be seperate and stuff like that.
It is a autonomous college so courses are changing regularly with the shift in education
Here we have relative grading system therefore there is no ranking and easy to get good grades

Dislikes

We have to pay yearly fees not semester wise it difficult for low income earning families
Money is collected from students for all events happening in the college.
There is a rush for collection of fees at the start of each year and unpaid students might face absent issues

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate but i don't know much about other courses but for civil engineering the average placed ctc is 3 lakh per annum one or two students got higer package but most of the students got lower package as a fresher.

From 5 th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placements. Lots of companies. The highest package is 26 lakhs and the average package is 1.5 lakhs. 98% of students get placed. Doing my best in a career as an entrepreneur.

The reason i choose this college because of the really good placements available in it. The different between the college i applied for and sastra will be Reputation: In my surroundings sastra have a great goodwill and Reputation compared to other colleges. Placements: sastra provide wide range of placements and opportunities while other colleges have limited options. Academic: sastra provide a great faculty , other diploma to add on which adds great value and research opportunities. I applied for sastra and srm in trichy, i got selected in both the colleges but i choose sastra Over srm. I choose sastra because of it's quality education.
