- The college is well equipped and a good campus with proper hostel facility and accomodation it has best NICU in entire Karnataka
- Moreover the campus is at the city center and hence easy to access any works to be done
- Overall the campus being government institution is very good with best teaching staffs
Dislikes
- The campus is small with limited area of 25 acres and do not have good area for sports and other activities ,
- Even though the patient input is very high the campus have limited sources for higher medical treatment
- Most of the clinical departments like surgery, medicine, gynaecology and obstetrics have their private setups near the campus
Course Curriculum Overview
This institution is very near to my residency so that I can come easily from my home ,and I had been seeing this institution from very long time and hence I decided to opt for this college the university exams are conducted once in a year and three internals in a year there is moderate level of difficulty and easy,we can clear our exams inspite of difficulty because of better teaching faculty
Fees and Financial Aid
The tution fees costs around 60 thousand annually but it may fluctuate around 3 to 4k ,and for hostel u have to pay around 45k annually including rent fees with 12k deposit,and exam fees vary according to number of exams as per the year,we can get scholarship as per their catagory and income certificate, scholarship is available upto 100 percent of their tuition fee in case of less than 200k annual income, during internship u are paid around 30k per month
Campus Life
In a year there will be annual sports meet in the college and cultural activities as well namely kannada sanga annual function and other 2 or 3 cultural activities as well and also some times RGUHS sports are also conducted and students also runs some of the clubs like eco clubs , literacy club kannada sangha, treasurer etc for college activities
Admission
As per national medical council neet entrance exam has to be cleared with appropriate ranking,their are reservations for appropriate catagory with some benefits for scheduled castes and tribes students like free textbooks and laptops as well ,exam is conducted annually with three internals in a year,the process of admission is through offline
Faculty
There are adequate number of teaching faculty for first and second year professional mbbs but for third year and final year the number of faculty members are not up to the mark ,in case of any queries we can approach either post graduates or professor Our college has the best NICU wards in entire Karnataka and best obstetrics and gynaecology departments And new cancer institute for treatment which is only in Karnataka being a tertiary care center hospital
