Being an student for the last 3.5 years I can say that the college is good for kick starting your technical education and growth.
Entrance Preview
Firstly I want a government college that gives quality education and also has a good placement record. Since my brother was an alumni from the same college he has suggested me to go for the same. Good computer science lab, faculties from the IITs and NITS will give you the proper direction to move forward in life.
Course Curriculum Overview
The subjects taught in the institute are different from the subjects from any of the private colleges. The curriculum is decided by the professors of the institute and they make sure that the students get the proper knowledge in that particular field with the basics of each and every subjects in mind.
Internships Opportunities
No, the college doesn't provide internship to the students. Rather the students go for the internship in various companies and govt. Organization such as railway, thermal power plant, NIC etc.
Placement Experience
Placements are pretty decent almost 75% students if the institute get the placements from the college and other opt for going for the higher studies like post graduation. The highest package from the institute is 9lacks. In the year 2017 1 student placed in BYJUs at 9L 3 students got placed in BORL at 7.5L 6 students got placed in wipro 82 students got placed in TCS at 3.4L 23 students for placed in collabera And many more..
College Events
There are various events and workshops are organised by the students of the college to make a practical and managerial vibes in the college. Each year from the last 9 years the college is organizing mech tech meet organized by students of mechanical branch and xception organized by students of computer science.
Fee Structure And Facilities
College provide a quality education with a quite cheap fees structure. yearly college fees is 23400 which can also be paid in the 2 installments of 13400 and 10000. Exam form fees is 1300. The students get a good education with such a nominal fees structure that even a poor students can get enroll the college.
Fees and Financial Aid
The govt. Provides scholarship for vikramaditya scholarship for the meritorious students of general category and OBC,SC/ST students can also apply for state govt. Scholarships.
Campus Life
As the college life is one of the important part of any students life. The uecu will give a great experience. The gender ratio is good with 1/3rd of class strength being girls. The students are from various parts of madhya pradesh and also from different states and 5% of seats also reserved for the foreign candidates, 5% for j&k students. The computer labs are well equipped with internet faculty and lan cables for fast internet connection, microprocessor lab and database lab etc.
Hostel Facilities
The college hostel is very cheap with just 2000 rupees for 1 year. Hostel is not that much good, although it consists of all the basic amenities and also gym facility but since the hostel is more than 20 years old, that's why it lacks the good infrastructure and the wardrobes and doors are damaged.
Alumni/Alumna
Last year (2017) the college celebrated 50 years and there was a large alumni meet in the college. The student for an opportunity to interact with the alumnis and got to know about there work experiences and there fields of work. They shared there experiences and asked students to do research in various fields for further higher studies.
Exam Structure
The 4 years of engineering consists of 8 semesters. Each semester consists of 5 subjects. The exams are held semester wise with even semesters in the month of may-june and odd semester in the month of nov-dec. There are 2 mid sem exams during each semester, internal, external, main exam. Each end sem exam consists of 5 theoretical papers with 70 marks each(min marks 23)
Admission
I got admission through jee mains marks. I secured 130 marks in jee mains in 2015. That time the merit was made taking both the 12th class percentage and jee score but now the criteria is changed and the student can get admission just through jee mains score card. After declaration of the jee mains results the student can do the choice filling for the various colleges on mponline website.
Faculty
The faculties are from the esteemed colleges of the country like IITs and NITs. The faculties start from basics of each and every subject and move to the later topics of the subject. There way of teaching is quit impressive. The faculties also give assignments and take class tests and quizzes every month to make sure that concepts of students are clear.
