Entrance Preview

It has the highest number of placements and infrastructure is better than any other in North Karnataka and teaching faculty is good. The extracurricular activities will encourage our nontechnical skills. They also provide a platform for startups. The industry level projects are given to students.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The courses designed are as per industry standard. We had courses designed by various companies which were the basis for the skills required in the industry. We also did projects based on real-time applications and some industries set up within campus were also provided internship and training.

Internships Opportunities

Our college had provided space for may of start ups. Those startups provided the internships free of cost to all students who passed the test conducted by them.

Placement Experience

5

For our batch, the number of placements was 750 out of 1200. Many companies like Walmart, Robert Bosch, Kpit, Toshiba, Microsoft, Infosys, Accenture, Mercedes Benz, Applied Materials may more have hired. These companies hired us for Research and Development, analyst, data scientist roles.

College Events

4.5

We used to have many events daily at our college. I like to list some of them like Terranaut(robotic event),Hackathon( coding event), Treasure hunt(Seeking things based on clues), black shawl( showing physical and intellectual skills), intel ideation camp(Building an idea for a startup), Pupa( Selling our own products), Pitching for startups.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I got the seat under government quota (KCET) so it cost me around 2 lakhs for 4 years. So it's feasible I guess. If we try under Comed-K, we need to pay around 8 lakhs for 4 years. We need to pay on yearly basis. The fee includes teaching fee, materials provided, lab expenses and exam fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college provides scholarships for toppers in KCET and also on their yearly performance which helped some of my friends.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel facilities are good with 24/7 fast wifi. The food is also good with all nutrients. They also had generators in the hostel. The hostel was kept clean and it was maintained regularly. The security was also strict would not allow us without the id cards.

Exam Structure

We had 8 semesters each semester used to have 2 minors and 1 major exam. The minors are for 40 marks and major is for 100 marks. The average of two minors had 50% weighting in our final results and other 50% from major exams. For each subject, we had credits and based on credits we used to obtain CGPA for each semester.

Admission

I scored 90.33 % in PCM in PUC II. The attended KCET and got 104/180 in PCM. I got ranking of 6972 on KCET. KCET people verified all the documents before online allotment. Then I applied via online seat allocation by KCET and then got a seat in Electronics and Instrumentation stream. Again The verification of original documents was carried out while admission in college.

Faculty

5

The faculty in our college had a well understanding of the concepts. They used to teach us with real-time applications and they used to teach us the concepts simultaneously with hardware in labs. They also encouraged us to participate in various technical events throughout India.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is a mix of both Computer Science and AIML which is increasingly relevant in today's world. Second year: Subjects like Mathematics for AIML, Data Structures, Stats for Data Science, Computer Networks, Third year: DBMS, ANN, ML operations Some other elevtives are also available and courses like Universal Human Values, POME, EIPR etc. Honestly, POME, EIPR, UHV should have less course credits and probably MCQ type exams (like IC and Yoga in first year). Curriculum is good and updating for applications helped along with projects. Exams are generally once in a month, 1.5 - 2 units for each subject each exam. Lab exams at the very end before CIE marks finalization. Then 2 weeks gap for Lab SEE, then 1 week gap and actual SEE's.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Personally, I was interested in ECE course since I liked working around chips and was intrigued by how they worked, which is what led me to choosing this course. The curriculum is not the best for real-world applications since the syllabus is pretty outdated. The teaching does involve smart boards and can be visual as well, but it can be utilized better by the professors. A semester lasts for around 5 months, with the last month only involving SEE (Semester End Examinations) and the first four months consisting of 2 CIE tests in the 2nd and 4th months. It also involves practical examinations.

Placement Experience:

KSIT has an average placement rate of 70%-85% depending on the branch . CSE,ISE and ECE branches have higher placements while mechanical and civil have fewer opportunities in IT sector . Average package is about 4-6LPA . KSIT attracts many IT based recruitiers with some core companies for non -IT branches . It also provides pre-placement training, coding boot cams, aptitude tests and soft skills development . Alumni network is moderate, but students need off-campus efforts for high paying jobs

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course I adopted since I couldn't do my neet. In 2nd year I thought of taking CSE . I GOT MANY SEATS IN OTHER COLLEGES FOR OTHER COURCES. But I wanted to adopt only CSE based . I mean social or economical or design thinking and scientific foundation.. these courses are of no use while learning engineering so this might be the drawback . Exams are conducted very strictly in our clg and I appreciate that !
