Entrance Preview
The selection process was merit basis.So you have to do well on 12th standard.I got first division and was selected immediately.I chose this college because it was one of the best college to study microbiology.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course elaborately touches every aspect of the subject.From biology to biochem,bio tech, genetics and moleculer and cellular biology,it explores every part of it.The course help you further on your career to choose in which particular subject you want to pursue and it gives you an idea on research through practical experiments so that you can be sure which subject suits your likings in the future.
Internships Opportunities
No they, do not provide internship but they can arrange for one. They can arrange for part time teaching and help being a part time lab technician.
Placement Experience
The placement and job opportunities are good.89% has been placed. Since microbiology is a very new subject it will take more time to be placed package is minimum for freshers.Minimum package and facilities are given but it is recommended to finish master's before applying for jobs.
College Events
There are many events in the college most of them arranged by the students. E.g. Holi, college fest, First year welcome, New year's eve etc. They are celebrated vastly and students are very enthusiastic about the arrangements. The events hold music, rock bands, games, drama, catwalking etc. funny moments.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is affordable especially for middle class students for third year's students it can be higher since third year academic includes a industrial college tour. Other than that college fee is average including the lab experiment fees there are some external fees but it is negligible.

Not that i know of there is a small scholarship facility just to cover half of the tuition fee and the loan have to be borrowed from the bank.
Campus Life
Campus life is fun gender ration does not differ much sport facility is good since the campus is huge and the chance of extracurricular activities are vast. Competitions are held even with other colleges lots of students participate in them social activities are popular here and well known.
Hostel Facilities
There are no hostel facilities though the campus is big the college helps you to find an accommodation or pg and the rates are affordable. It will be nearby and in the center of the Calcutta. The college has a canteen and the food is good and not very expensive it is comfortable for the students from outside.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni and senior students are very helpful through the first year to last year of the college from the admission to fresher welcome they make you feel welcome, comfortable and at home seniors help you with studies as well.
Exam Structure
Exam structure is very hectic and stressful.In labs around experiment times students have to do everything on their own, even making the preparations of culture. Theoretical exams are as normal as it is though.They are not very strict about it.The admit card and hall tickets Have to be collected from college.
Faculty
The faculty is very good.One of the best in Calcutta.From academics to research and any help on projects to experiments in lab students can count on the faculty. Students can get every help they want and flourish properly on the idea of the course.The professors are very friendly.The faculty even give helpful counselling on student's future preferences of university and further pursuasion of study.
