Entrance Preview

I took EAMCET,JEE(MAINS) AND GITAM exams after my intermediate.I scored 142 in JEE. I obtained a rank around 8000 in GITAM exam. I secured a rank of 20401 in EAMCET. I unexpectedly got admitted into CVSR(i was expecting another college). But,i later realized that this is a reputed institute and i felt happy.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is diversified with various academic and non-academic activities. There is a nice blend of academic activities and extra-curricular activities, which help the student to prosper. The college management are well organized in balancing various activities and they help the students in all respects to grow into a complete human being.

Internships Opportunities

The college has MOUs with a few IT and non IT companies. After third year of btech, we got information that we had an interview at OSMOSYS. We went there, attended it and got selected. We did not get an stipend but the technologies that we were taught there were of great help.

Placement Experience

4

The placement cell in our college is well equipped and has well-experienced and reputed members. As i mentioned earlier, our college has MOUs with a few companies and there are a few companies that regularly visit our college and take a fair amount of students.Last year, the placement numbers have been around 480+ students, who got placed in reputed companies like CA technologies ,ADP, Infosys, Excers, KONY abs, Wipro, Cognizant, Mindtree, Tech Mahindra, IBM, Mphasis, NTT Data, Polaris/Virtusa(both of them are now merged),Amazon and many other companies.

College Events

4.5

Our college has an annual fest called "SYNERGY",which basically means "COMBINATION OF ENERGIES". Apart form that,we have an annual day celebration, titled "AAGAMA".There is a sports fest called "SPORTS BOUT".In the above mentioned events, students from various colleges and disciplines come and participate.

Fee Structure And Facilities

When i joined the college, the fee structure for us was 67500/- per year(exclusive of JNTUH fees, which amount to 7500/- per year).I felt that since the institute has a plethora of programmes and a lush green and friendly campus,i felt that the fees was feasible and it was worth it. And since our college has this amazing infrastructure,i feel that the fees is legit and feasible.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes. the college does provide us with scholarships. For the backward -castes and poor students, the college provides a scholarship of 35000/- per year and an additional amount of 10000/- for SCs and STs.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life in CVSR is student friendly. With a vast campus(30 acres) and six blocks, the area is vast and student-supportive.As per my knowledge the student strength the institute is around 4000. The gender ratio would be 1:1(girls:boys). We have a lot of extracurricular activities(like cultural activities, debates, essay writing,GDs)etc.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Our college has separate hostel facilities for both boys and girls. The hostel rooms have to be shared by 3 students. They are spacious and hygeinic. The college charges the students an amount of 3000 per month. As i have a lot of friends who stay in hostels,i know that the hostel facilities are excellent. Also, the food facilities are well organised and is healthy.

Exam Structure

Since btech is a four year program,we have eight semesters. In each semester,We have two mid exams and a semester exam for each theoritical subject and we have one internal and an external exam for the laboratories. Based on the performance in the exams, grades will be given to the students,in a legitimate way.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
