Entrance Preview

Electronics in the early 2000 had very good scope and I took it with lot of aspirations. I was aiming for a career in Hardware support. Also, Electronics was similar to physics in the outlook.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

It was very good course with neatly laid out syllabus. The faculty of the college was equally balanced with a mix of both young and experienced lecturers.

Internships Opportunities

I was not under any internship experience. I was not offered any general stipend from the college. It was a good college with all facilities for course fee taken from the students.

Placement Experience

3.5

Only the rank holders in their respective courses were awarded the job placements. Any graduate was given proper guidance by the experienced staff of the college.

College Events

4

Every year, we had our own annual College day. All the students were brought upon the same roof with many cultural events, prize distributions for the winners and Rewards and recognition.

Fees and Financial Aid

There was scholarship being awarded to the rank holders and good placements awarded for them. It was purely based on merit to the students.

Campus Life

4

Campus life was above average ans was not the best. Equal opportunity was given to all students across the country. Sports was good in our college with events being held annually for all students in their respective courses.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network was arranged at the college for all students to share their views and express opinions on the same platform. It was held once in a year.

Exam Structure

Exams were held annually and all the 3 years of my BSc course was public examinations. We had many attempts to clear the subjects in the supplementary exams held twice in a year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There wasn't really any. It was mostly the friendliness of the profs that pulled me into maths. Do note that in IISc, the first three semesters are common and you pick majors after that. The maths curriculum prepares you for a future in either industry or academia. Moreover, one can take courses in other departments to help their industry pursuits. Only way would be to make some courses more interactive, but this hasn't been a problem for me personally. Most high level courses have two exams. Sometimes not even that. And exams generally aren't difficult for someone who has kept up with the course.

Placement Experience:

from 6th semister onwards students are eligible for pkacements. I dont know about the companies of placements as iam a fresher here. The placements here are really good in this course. After Msc forensic science the annual package in an average here is 2-5 lakhs. Almost 80% of forensic students get placement here. As iam pursuing my bachelors here, iam thinking of writing the entrance exam for NFSU gujarath for my Masters.

Placement Experience:

Our university has a training and placement office for the fourth and fifth year students. Before that you need to find internship opportunities yourself. The significant companies include EY, MoSpi, RBI, NSE etc. The is around 50% placements. The highest package was around 40 lakhs and the lowest 5 lakhs. I plan on working in the RBI after my degree.
