- Teachers are very polite and talented, I have many queries regarding exams, research project but they solved it very well
- Every course is cheaper as compared to other colleges while there is no difference in teaching.
- those who wanted to join NCC can apply easily, and whole College is so clean and peaceful.
Dislikes
- There is no playground for students to play for outdoor games
- A big disappointed is that our College don't have any canteen.
- Washrooms are not clean, and there is sometimes electricity problem because of old wiring
Course Curriculum Overview
The overall curriculum is best at all. Before the latest curriculum students have to pass in yearly exam with no internal mark or research project, but since two years College have change their pattern as order by UGC and the newest pattern based on credit score is too good. The best thing is students are now more engaged in course because of the research project. 1st and 3rd sem are subjective basis while 2nd and 4th are objective basis which is quite impressive, Students have faced problems when the exams scheme crashes with other exams sometimes, which should be reform by CSJMU.
Placement Experience
Only Final years students are eligible for the campus placement, I have heard many times about it but it were always for girls. I guess I had miss chances of placements where boys are eligible but the placement of the college is not a big deal. Don't expect much from this college about placement
Fees and Financial Aid
Students have to submit the course fees after they have filled the form. When I take admission in my course my course fees was 3550 and in final year it was 5445 rupees. As about this year the course fees is 4312 for boys and 4072 for girls in Previous year while 5062 for boys and 4822 for girls in Final year. Its a big thing that all the additional fees are included in it too which saves our time. All the students are eligible to apply for the UP scholarship if they have scored 50% marks in last course.
Campus Life
I have fantastic and beautiful memories of this college with my friends, College provide library card facility who want to borrow books from college. Technical labs are very advanced, as I was student of commerce I dont know anything about science lab but We have attended class in labs while demonstrating the research project on Big screen. Students have made some whatapps and telegram unofficial groups for disgussions, while Departments have their own official groups where they send important messages to students regarding course, exams, etc.
Admission
This College is not so good as the interior of the college is very old, as compared to other colleges, but Teachers are very frank with the students, many students are doing jobs and they can't attend college daily, for those this is the best possible college in Kanpur. I thought to completed M.com in Christchurch College but I have the same issues as I was doing job too. So I applied for this college and the addmission process was to simple offline mode. Now this year admission is only on online mode only.
Faculty
In my Commerce department there are 20+ Teachers to teach students. The ratio is quite enough for students. In Master of Commerce, there are 4 semester and students have to clear in all the semesters to earn the degree. The marking scheme is based on credits given by UGC on every semester as SPGA score and it will be calculated yearly in CGPA score. Students have to score minimum 25 out of 75 in written exams while 10 out of 25 in internal exam. In every year students have to submit a research project based on their research objectives to the department which is also a mandatory subject in the course.
