Ethiraj College

I chosen commerce because of the interest in learning about the business and how to do a business.I chosen ethiraj College because my account's mam was studied in that college and she told me about that college so that I joined in the college .The exam timing for CA( continuous assessment) is 9.15 to 11.15 for ug and pg and for semester for 1st year 9.00 to 12.00 and for 2nd year 9.00 to 12.00 and for 3rd year 1.00 to 4.00.

They only provide the internship letter to join in the company the college should not provide any internship inside the college,the interested students can get approval from the college and can do internship outside the campus.There is no compulsion to join in the internship for all the departments.

For the placement there particular staffs are assigned the students can approach staff and ask about the placement and there is one annual event for placement that is BHAVISHYA.In bhavishya they tell about the placement process and how many companies will visit . The highest average package for placement is Rs. 8,00000 per year.The students should have 75%in there semester exams.The placement will be held on 3year and in placement process there are 3process they're online test , group discussion and lastly the personal interview.

Year wise fees is Rs.10000 for aided ( morning shift) . Tuition fees for per semester is Rs.3500 it is same for all the merit list students and the fees will be low in the upcoming semesters and exam fees is Rs.1500 . Postmatric scholarship they provide in college for SC/ST the scholarship amount is Rs.7000 per year and for BC/MBC and other categories the scholarship amount is 3500 per year.

The major events in Ethiraj College Union Inaugural Aarambh and Maithri Rhapsody Chronicles Atlantis Ethnic day Margazhi utsav Youth conclave Annual production Srishti Union Elections Union valedictory and endowment lecture Union Investiture But the two important cultural events is aarambh and mathiri and srishti . Aarambh and mathiri is 3days event aarambh is for 1st year and maithiri is for 2nd and 3rd year. It is inter departmental event. The another cultural event is srishti this is for 3days it is inter collegiate cultural fest.And there are Pongal celebrations, Christmas celebrations, friendship day celebrations , and to to know about the olden days culture and their foods for that also one event is conducted that is mannum marabum . Food festival and ed bazars also conducted in college. There are many clubs also there in the college they are fine arts, quiz club,tamil Teatro, English Teatro,arts club, debate,film , literary.

The applied only in Ethiraj College because I had more confident that I would get this college.The application process is starts from applying in the application form and then main application form then the application is confirmed means the students should be called for the verification that should submit there original certificates .The student should pay the fees when the main application form is confirmed before the verification they should pay the fees.

In commerce department for ug per class 80 students are there.There are 10 staffs in the commerce department.I like all the staffs the faculty interact with the students like friends .The faculties are approachable at any time and there way of teaching is also understandable. There are 6 semester that are for 100 marks then converted into 60 marks and 12 continuous assessment that is for 50 marks it is internal marks they converted the 50 marks into 10 marks and 10 mark for participation and 10 mark for assignment and 10 mark for assignment.There are 2 continuous assessment for one semester so they converted that two 50 marks into 20 marks.
