Very natural environment with lot of lush green campus
Teachers are highly qualified. having lot of experience
Good senior- junior interaction. very helpful

Dislikes

Placements are not as good as they should be
Lot of restrictions for girls especially
Less campus area about 64 acres only.

Course Curriculum Overview

Civil is one of the oldest branches in our college. All things are taught with practical knowledge. You will be knowledgeable person after having the course of four years. very good teaching pattern.

Placement Experience

Placements are good. civil engineering average placement package is 10-12 lpa. highest package was 39 lpa for cse in 2024. Highest package for civil was 18-19 lpa.. would be better in upcoming years

Campus Life

2 fests are there 1. Rang-e-chinar cultural fest. Usually conducted in November 2. Techvagenza. Technological fest Usually conducted in May Other activities are conducted very often. Very good enthusiastic events

Hostel Facilities

In hostels atleast five people per room. Wifi connection is available. Mostly common washrooms For 4th year. One person per room. Mess food is good..not too good but have non veg 3 times a week

Admission

This is the best engineering college in Jammu and Kashmir. That's why I selected this to study bachelor's in technology forthe National Institute of technology in Srinagar. and also I was getting this college.

Faculty

Faculty are highly qualified and very helping. There are 2 exams per semester mid sem and end sem. mid sem is for 26 marks and end sem is 50 marks. rest 24 are internal marks. including attendance, tests and assignments

My opinion about nit

Likes

I like the diversity and culture of college students come from all states each festival is celebrated with fun .
The infrastructure is good providing facilities like library, amphitheatre, auditorium etc.
I like college ground where we can walk and relieve from academics

Dislikes

College infrastructure can be improved in rainy season there is water accumulation at many places , water drainage system should be there .

Placement Experience:

In 7th semester student become eligible for placement. The companies visited are L &T for civil which is big company and select many students, jsw for mechanical and increff , paypal , microsoft, visa ,make my trip for IT and CSE

Likes

One thing I liked about my college is Huge campus area.
Other thing l liked about my college is good infrastructure
Another thing I liked about my college is well experienced faculty

The thing I disliked about my college is delay in your any complain

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements in 8th semester. Companies like L&T construction, Ambuja cement, tata , wipro, jio , Berger, infosys, IBM and many more visit the college. Highest package is around 17 LPA and average package is around 5 LPA . Almost 30 percent students get placement. My plan is to get off campus placement.

Likes

College's weather is too pleasant and the air quality is also good
The environment is also very good and also the view is very nice
Seniors are very friendly in college and also the college has strict punishment for ragging.

Dislikes

The hostel food is not upto the level that a student expect.
The facility sometimes does not able to connect with Students
Hostels are very far away from the department and students have to move very far from the hostel

Placement Experience:

The placement of our college is Average and the students are eligible in 7 semester for placement. If the student has any backlog in any of the semester they can't sit in the college placement and also it has minimum criteria of 6.5 cgpa. The percentage of students getting placement is very low sadly

A comprehensive Review

Likes

Firstally i like in my college is hostel it is located in college campus .
The second thing like in my college is campus area located in between mountain.
the last thing is about one teacher he help me in everything.

Dislikes

The first thing i do not like is transport in my college it is the major problem in my college.
The second thing is there are no proper lectures everyday one of them faculty is absent
The last thing is not a proper medical facielities

Placement Experience:

The placement at my college are fairly strong, with a focus on proving opportunities for student in both technical field and non-technical fields. various reputed companies visit our campus for placement like TCS, infosys, and many more.The highest package aroun INR 40 LPA. the majority of the offers are for cybersecurity. My plan is for business after the degree.

The faculties are top notch and very supportive and helpful
Campus life is good because it is very large campus area
We have isro and drdo in our campus which is a very good thing

Dislikes

the university is still under construction
their is limited access of resourses as it is under construction

I get this college Throgh JOSAA ( baised on Jee Mains Rank ) . This college stands good in academics but in management it needs improvement . NIT srinagar : A place signifying Majesty of nature and a ground for academic growth
