What Students Say

Likes

College life-DTU is known for its college life
Placement -DTU while having so many students we still have a decent percentage of selection and a decent average package
Exposure-DTU gives u ab environment which I think no other college can give while enjoying your life u study as well participate in events as well it gives u a lot of opportunities

Dislikes

The peer group because due to many type of reservation such as state quota and other the crowd here is not as good as compared to its other competitors such as nits
State quota system-here in dtu there are 85% seats reserved for Delhi students me which gives the unfair advantage
So many seats for a particular branch-as I belong to CSE branch here we have 503 student which is very bad number for a government engineer college

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

If I talkt about relevance then I think there are some subjects which are just useless still we have to study them for example we have computer aided drawing in which we have to draw figures and other things on sheet while it should be done on computer so I think it's pretty useless subject for a computer science student

Class Size: 73Course Fees: INR 240000 per year

Internships Opportunities

2.5

The internship opportunities here are decreasing every year again due to large intake of students. But all famous companies come here for internship session and students with good skills also get internship with a good stipend

Placement Experience

4.5

Placement here is good and a lot of big names like Facebook Google Microsoft come here for placement most of the students who work hard gets placed here with decent package average package for cse goes around 24 lpa with placement percentage around 80% which is I think good because student in cse are around 503

Fees and Financial Aid

The per year fees here increases every year as per 2024 the fees for 1st year btech students is around 236700 which includes 155000 of tution fees 20000 student welfare fee 36000 facilities and research charges 10000 economically weaker section fund 15000 examination fee and 700 medical fee.

Campus Life

DTU is known for its campus life. All the festivals are celebrated here with a lot of fests.Engifest which is main fest of DTU is the best fests of North India and we have so many societies organising different fests.

Admission

To get admission in DTU u have to clear jee mains exam and secure a good rank(depends on the branch u want to choose)I chose it because I found DTU cse to be the best branch and college combination as per my rank.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio at dtu is again one of the worst for a government engineer college of that level because of a large intake of students. The faculty here is experienced and also most of the teachers are chill.

Other Applied Colleges

Delhi Technological University - [DTU] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Engineering)

By researching about it,I found this branch and college perfect as per my jee mains rank

GTBIT is a good tier 3 Btech college in Delhi

Likes

College societies are very active, there are events, hackathons, workshops and jamming sessions every week
Faculty is very supportive and guides on career, internships and courses
College location and connectivity is good, it takes 5-8mins by auto/erickshaw to reach the nearest metro station, also buses run

Dislikes

College Infrastructure is quite old, they are rebuilding the washrooms so its better than before
Placement and internship are decent, need more support and guidance
College crowd is mostly uninterested in career and participating in hackathons or career building events

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements in 7th semester. Top Recruiters are Infosys, ZS Associated, Swiggy, JustPAY and there were about 250 offers in 2025 Highest package was 63LPA off-campus, 27LPA on campus and Average package is about 6-7LPA, most profiles are software developer About 60-80% of the eligible students got placed last year I would like to work as a software engineer for 2-3 year and then do MBA alongside job and then apply for management roles.

VIPS the Infra king ... the experiences you never want to miss

Likes

first of all i would say the infrastucture of the our collge is too good and even the best when we comapre it to other colleges in our university
second is its labs and advance tech lab for a btech student in vlsi domain we have a vlsi lab which have all the equiped tolls tahtare required for a good placemnt and same for other branches as well also in our campus there is super computer
third is the secuity the security of the campus is very good we got riif id card all gates are only when when the correct id card are shown out there and also thereare ample amoun tof

Dislikes

dislike is to be honest one thing i dislike is most is the ptm that after each mid sem there is ptm of the due to low attedence and even student got detained due to it
second is the campus area is too much smaller comapring other colleges
third is the canteen the food in the canteen is not soo good and there is no much option avaiable out there

Placement Experience:

For placement, I would say it is average in terms of top-tier colleges. Average placement is 6 LPA; the highest last year was 29 LPA in BTech AI/ML. Placement is offered in the 4th year of the courses, and there are on-campus placements available, but under significant criteria based on the recruiting company like cgpa should be more then 7.5 no active backlog and all so these are the cretiera that a company demands and depands of dfiffrent companies i dont have any subsqueent infomation regaridng the name of companies visited and no of offer made but i have the information regarding thear placement percenateg it was aroung 82 percent last year my plans are to prepare for govt exam and get in there after getting degree

My experience studying at NSIT

Likes

Placement was among the best and most the top companies visited
Infrastructure was appreciable with no major shortage of laboratories
Senior-Junior interaction compensated the average faculty

Dislikes

Outdated curriculum negatively impacted the conceptual clarity
Too difficult to secure good grades due to strict marking
Mediocre support provided to student led initiative

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was evidently outdated and irrelevant to modern engineering challenges and could have severely disadvantaged students' learning outcomes. Although, interaction with seniors compensated this.

The Dream College Life

Likes

The campus is completely different from the whole city, it is more cleaner and is quiet peaceful with various different beautiful views at different points and is not too big so could easily walk through the campus.
Has really great architecture of the buildings and is surrounded by really intelligent people including some over the top profs and some really great minds from the country.
The night life is completely different and is one of the best part of staying in campus.

Dislikes

some of the hostels are quiet old and need renovation.

Placement Experience:

If you study passionately and have decent communication skills and some important competencies, I assure you that you will secure a position in a great company. Here at IIT Delhi, you earn what you work for; you can receive salary packages as high as 2 crores, but some offers start as low as 4 lakhs per annum.

Automated air conditioning in all rooms in the college
The labs are very nice and spacious with AC

Dislikes

Faculty is not nice with the students as they does’nt give the internal marks for medical issues
The teachers judge you based upon your attendance
Placement scenario is not known so can’t say about it but still on my personal opinion there won’t be anything more which everybody is expecting

Placement Experience:

As no batch has been passed out from our college, the first batch of BTech placements will be out by 2025 So then we will know about the placement scenarios and on campus and internships, but for a B plan, one should always Acquire for the trending skills in the society, my plans after getting the degree is either I go for the post graduate or I apply to off campus in abroad.
