Likes
- The campus is very beautiful especially in winter. You will love roaming around the campus with your friends.
- Academic pressure is lesser than other NITs or IITs obviously. You will get enough free time to Sharpe your skills.
- Most professors are good, they teach very well.
Dislikes
- Some professors are very bad, they don't know how to teach and just care about your attendance.
- Placements are not up to the mark, most students do not get a well paid job.
- In first year you will face difficulties staying in any hostel (For boys)
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is so bad, the syllabus is not updated the still teach irrelevant topics in the first year like biology and all. But I heard there are some changes in this year soni don't know about that.
Placement Experience
From the seventh semester students become eligible for placements. Some students get placed with some decent package but most of them do not get any placement or get very low package like 3 lpa. I am thinking about doing mtech from a good university to get a job at least.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees per semester is 26943 excluding mess charges (Mess charges varies from hostel to hostel but it's around 2500 per month). The detailed fee structure is available on the university website. University do not provide scholarship butbyou can apply for state or central scholarship, in that case university will provide younwith the basic details like bonafide certificate and fee structure etc.
Campus Life
Campus Life of pretty good, you can chill with your friends inside or outside the campus of you want, there are some picnic spots nearby. Various clubs are active like dancing club, drama club, chess club, astronomy club etc.
Admission
My only reason was my low jee rank. If my rank was higher I would never ever come to this place. And i would suggest to take one year drop and try to get a decent jee rank and go to some other collages.
Faculty
The faculty students ratio is good. Most faculties are good but there are some really bad professors who don't know how to teach or even talk to students, they just shout and make fun of you. Overall I would say faculties are good.
