College with best environment around.

Yes, we do have a few bads about our management but that can be handled if students take a bit of charge and are responsible. Things like JYC funds, mess food being too casual some days in the week (though it is a proper meal all depends on taste on likes for food). So can be managed. Like it is better to go in Jaypee if u are getting an NIT with mechanical and Jaypee with computers (if u are not interested in mechanical).

During our academic year the course was old as per the industrial standards but now the course has been updated really well and more focus is on practical knowledge and making students experience the competition outside (for which we have various social service clubs, tech clubs, TIDEC cell, and hackathon and fests add on to all this). Also, the campus T&P cell is taking great pain to get the students placed via on-campus placements and this year almost 45% students were placed by mid on the final semester (like Jan) and remaining after that.

The placements this year were great around 45% lot got placed in the condense semester and remaining cream on 30% of students got placed after that. Now the T&P cell provides internships as well. Otherwise, the students who want to apply off campus and internships can apply.

These are various fest (tech, cultural, arts, music, environment, etc) celebrated throughout the academic year and various cultural nights are being organized by various clubs and committees. One can easily go through the university website for more details on JYC.

Fees are per semester including all the mess, hostel and laundry expenses approx 170000 per semester (one sem = 6 months). Rest they charge for JYC funds and all or any other club fees which are not the part of JYC and students can join that as per their wish.

NA I haven't opted for any scholarship or education loan. but campus do provide some scholarship problems.

Overall good Campus life and environment. Lack few facilities that usually college in flats have like going out with friends late night and all (coz the campus is surrounded by hills so we do have in time for student safety). The biometric attendance system is there at gates and all.

Hostels are good, with good facility and environment and surroundings. Hostels are well maintained and one of the best thing in JUIT, Solan. Hostel fees are around 35k-45k including all that laundry and mess food charges. May vary on the year one get the admission.

The students who are really capable don't need an IIT or so to prove them and hence our University alumni and senior students work hard on their skills and placed well in various startups or MNCs

Got admission in college on the bases of JEE mains Score and counseling held for all the Jaypee Universities. I filled the form for admissions and there was a three-day procedure for the counseling. I was called on the second day at JIIT Noida for counseling. On the bases on the rank and my choice, I was got the university of my preference and the branch as well.

Faculty is a mix of an old and new generation. University has faculty which is really old and hence are just good for research guidance but if one needs industrial guidance than young faculty is also there. But I personally feel what you learn is from the resources of library and self-study coz faculty is just to guide and evaluate.
