Remarks

The MBA department of DTU should start following the Trimester system like many other B-Schools in India so that students don't face any problem looking for internships.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum consists of subjects and courses relevant to industry standards. Classroom teaching is driven by case studies and discussion which enriches the student's mind. DTU follows a semester system with a mid-semester exam and an end semester exam, your classroom participation and internals also play a major role which consists of projects and presentations.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements are conducted all year long, with a vast list of companies. The whole process is student-driven, one can become a part of the student team in the first year and contribute as well as learn.

College Events

4.5

There are various events that occur in every academic session, the biggest one being manifest. Students can take part in the organizing team of all the events that take place in DTU. MBA students have the liberty to organize independent events as well, like Ahaan, ActionTalks, Alumni Meet, DSM premier league to name a few.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For our batch, the fee structure was 1,50,000 in the first year and it was increased to 1,60,000 in the second year. If you are a day scholar then other expenses will include traveling and food, but if you're a hosteller your expenses will include the fees and mess charges. One can also take off-campus accommodation at PGs and flats which you get at a reasonable rate.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I did not apply for any scholarship or education loan for my course. Although there are plenty of avenues you can choose.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is quite eventful, the batch consists of a diverse group of students from across India. There are also international students from countries like Botswana, Uganda, Nepal, etc. The gender ratio is maintained for the MBA batch and is not skewed.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni team organizes annual meets where students get to interact with seniors. Also, students organize a cricket tournament with the alumni which further enhances the bond between everyone.

Admission

Shortlisting on the basis of CAT, followed by Group discussion and Interview. The admission process usually starts in the month of June and ends by mid-July. The academic session starts in the month of August. The process is done is a smooth manner thanks to the students who take part in managing it.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty is well qualified, with professors who have industry experience as well as research experience. They assist you in any possible way if you approach them, they also groom you for the placement and internship process by conducting mock GDs and interviews.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible from the 4th trimester onwards. The placement rate is consistently nearby 100%. Prominent recruiters include Delloite, KPMG, Pwc, EY and market firms like Motilal Oswal, Oxane and ICICI Bank. The average domestic package stands comfortably around 12,40,000 and the top 10% of the batch secures close to over 16,00,000. Prominent roles offered include - Management Trainee, Financial Analyst and Consulting roles for finance students. My immediate plans after the degree is to secure a core placement in an Equity Research Role.

LBSIM offers good placement support with students becoming eligible after the summer internship. Companies like Deloitte, KPMG,EY ,Infosys, Accenture, ICICI Bank and Wipro visit the campus. The average package is around 12 to 13 lakhs per annum with higher offer offers for top performers, placement support, industry, exposure and alumni guidance are strong. I plan to pursue a business analytics role after completing the course.
