Likes
- There are vast and numerous number of students from different states and even international students.
- The campus infrastructer is good and greenery is prioritized
- Some faculty members are actually so encouraging and helps a lot in academics and even personal issues.
Dislikes
- I’m in 3rd semester right now and i don’t think the course is not as much as attractive like its name.
- Few faculty teachers in 3rd semester are not much serious in making you learn things.
- If you get any type of problem regarding you i-card or cuims etc. you have to solve it on your own by travelling in the campus and pin pointing your issue in DSW office.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choosed the Business Analytics course because i searched it on internet and i found a report in which business analysts jobs are required in the future so placemwnt opportunities can take place. Chandigarh University should improve the practical learning on this course and can improve the subjects and real world examples based on them. The exams conducted are mostly easy and we get 1 hour time in 20 marks exam.
Placement Experience
Our college do provide placements but in the growning population and competition its already very hard to get a secured and well salaried job in any course. Obviously bachelors degree don't provide you a good job so my plans after this course is persuing a MBA degree. Highest package from our college is 28 lakh per annum in disney land hongkong.
Fees and Financial Aid
Our course fee for one semester is ?73500 with ?2500 extra for examination fee. The fees has increased for the freshers in 2024. Chandigarh University provide CUCET exam by which percentage of scolarship can be availed. In first year i got 40% scholarship but in second year my scholarship has been cut. This college gives a great support in sports category and helps the children in financial conditions who play for the university and represent it on a big level.
Campus Life
The annual festivals held in india are so great and our college don't leave any chance to celebrate the festivals in the events. Our college also have projector technology in every classrooms. In library there is a variety and range of books that you can issue easily with you i-card. As well as there are many clubs in the college that run with the students and events, social internship and socilazing with each other.
Admission
From 2023 onwards the 12th marks grade are not usefull in selecting and getting admission in a college. We have to give a CUET exam for persuing admission in any college, So the competition with overall indian students made it difficult for me to get any good government college. Then i decided to join a private college and Chandigarh university is not much distant from my hometown.
Faculty
The faculty of the college is mostly good and encouraging. I personally like Mr. Sahil Verma, Mrs. Geetanjali mam etc. They are the most humble and helpfull teachers in every cases. The faculty teacher that I don't like is Mrs. Kairen, She don't make the lecture productive and interactive as well as don't teach in the class most of the times. Talking about exams, they are mostly very easy and only few non serious students gets failed.
