Likes

I liked the diverse culture of Campus because there are students from every state of India and also International students are also there due to which I have knowledge about different diverse cultures
There are lots of facilities in campus like Univeristy Have its own Mall and Also Different and Good Quality of food is available
The campus is very secure for girls and boys both the rules and regulations are strict and followed by every student

Dislikes

The Behavoiur of staff is not good and they are not much professional and generous Once you enter this university there is no Vo operation of Faculty with Teachers at any level
The Management of university is not capable of solving students issues if there is any loophole of university they will try to cover it not to resolve it
For Agriculture students there no cultural activities and no proper equipment’s and safety is provided in farms

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because of University ICAR accredation. The overall course curriculum is average there is theoretical knowledge but faculty is not interested in providing practical knowledge about Course . There two exam for one semester One is Mid term and Second is Endterms and there not enough preparation holidays are provided due to which students face a lot of stress in Exams

Internships Opportunities

The Intership opportunities in Agriculture are very limited only few students get Selected for companies Like ITC, Adani Wilmar,Movidu But internships are not available for every student as per shown.

Fees and Financial Aid

Per Year Fees Without Scholarship For Bsc(Hons)Agriculture is 1lakh 96thousand and there three types of Scholarship Categories. In Category 1 you get 30,000rs Scholarship, In category 2 (20-25000rs) Scholarship, In category 3 (15-20,000rs) scholarship is provided and for Every new batch fee per year is increased.On other hand there special scholarship of 30,000rs for those who are wards Armyofficer or ExArmy officers rather than this Educational loans are also provided by many private finance organisations within the campus.

In Agriculture Course there no Cultural events and even there no clubs here it feels very ridiculous to be part of this course in the university when the other courses are having all the cultural shows and events the social life is not very good because of high pressure of studies and CA also there not preparation holidays the students are not able to socialise with each other

Admission

I have Applied for Dr.Ys Parmar Univeristy Of Horticulture before Coming to LPU but due to less score I was not able to take admission there. In Lpu there is no entrance exam you only need 60% Marks in 12th and then You are eligible for every course here

The Faculty of this University is Not Professional Not Generous and Not Well Mannered and they do not try to cooperate with students. Even if students is facing any issues there is no one in university a students can ask for help There is no proper guidance and If students go to tell there parents about their issues Univeristy Management criticise students only

Life in PAU

Likes

Beautiful University, the landscape of the university is very stunning after rain it appears even more beautiful
Great infrastructure, old skool type buildings , big auditoriums, fully ac library.
Well reputed university, known all over the world for its achievements

Dislikes

Hostel conditions worst one never seen anything dirty like this
Girls hostel time upto 7 pm only in winters which should be near 9 pm, which is too early , they felt like a prison.

Placement Experience:

During last semester students become eligible for placements. Companies visited are Relaince, HDFC BANK, Swiggy, Godrej foods ltd. and many more. Avg package is around 6-7 lakhs per annum. students max dont go for placements they rather go for masters degree. My plans are to become an entrepreneur.

the theory and practical study is considered best as its comes under the best universities of asia . the academic system is inspired from the foreign studies system.
well the interaction with the faculty is good. As all the faculty treat us as their children. the college infrastructure is good.
well weekly advisory meeting are conducted which help in improving the overall academic performance and if we are feeling any problem we would share it with our advisor. As the class becomes yours family with the passage of time.

Dislikes

few faculty works just come to time pass as they don’t know the complete knowledge about the college courses timing, adding or droping date, not supporting the student academic wise.
proper examination rules and checking should be done to avoid further mistakes done by students
there should be proper parking facilities available. poor at maintenance of washrooms.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As we konw horticulture & forestry are the two fields which generates more income compare to other agriculture activities. As time to time workshops are conducted related to trending topics in the every university.( skill development, Cv prepration etcs. since i am also the 3rd year student well university provides/ feels different vibe when other people just speak achievements of your university. the improvement in curriculum should be done on the basis of requirements of students.

An honest review

Likes

my college building and campus area is very beatitiful and very large .
Our university library is also very big and useful for us and a museum is also in our university related to punjabi virsa .
university campus area is more than 1500 acre it has agricultural land in which Various crops are grown in field.

Dislikes

Our college classes are build in Old fashion there are no or very less hi-fi classes so no smart classes are there.
mess food of our university is also not too good
Hostels are also very old some are in very poor condition

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am a nature loving person so I choose this university PAU to do BSc agriculture as it is very growing sector curriculum is very nice and good so I suggest my friends to do this as well . the difficulty level of curriculum is a average or we can say more than average overall our course is too good

Likes

Equality among the students should be improved. And respect each the student.
Every staff members are good at joining after that we have to do everything. Here and there.
Some teachers are like professors and some are like assistant professors

Dislikes

Equality rights should be there for the student applications
1 day late for examination fee you have to pay fine nearly 2000/-
Security guards are very annoying and worst type of behaviour regarding the students

Placement Experience:

7 Sem the placement are start The highest package is 4.5 l to 5.5 l per annual salary 80 percent should be there to get best placement Keeping verified chai business and profits to my self and to prove myself

Likes

Faculty Behaviour is very good they interact with students and ask there queries
Hostel life is good as there is good wifi mess and other facilities according to the fee structure
There are lot of students those are getting admission in agricult Department due to university grade and accreditation in NAAC and ICAR

Dislikes

University management is not well if they can try there best they can boost up the university level

I choosed this university over other universities lpu is affordable and other private universities like vit,srm where i faced high competition and rigid seat allocation. Additionaly the sheer vol of students taking admissions so such a massive batch size for resources and individual attention can be stressful compared to smaller, state label collages....Read More
