Course Curriculum Overview
The course is very much attractive. The curriculum is prepared by considering the competitive exams. It also helps in day to day life. Skill based practicals are also provided. There are 3 sessional exams and one final exams in a semester. The interval between 2 sessional is around 45 days. Teaching methods are well organised and defined. Only technical input is required for more clear teaching approach.
Internships Opportunities
University provides several internship opportunities for the students. CSIR labs, TATA powers, CCL, MCL, IITs are some regular intership providers for the university. Role of students are like junior research assistant. Projects and tasks are completely subject to variation according to the internship providing organisation.
Placement Experience
Placement of my college is average. Campus placement is offered. From 5th semester students become eligible for campus placement. WIPRO along with some few other private labelled company visited and no of offers made. Highest package is 6.3 lakhs and average package is around 3 to 4 lakhs per company. Around 50% of students got placed in campus placement offers. I want to do research in Environmental toxicology after getting the degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
Total course fees for 5 years integrated UG and PG in Environmental Sciences course is roughly around 150000 (15000 per semester) including all fees like development fees, lab fees, admission fees, medical fees, library fees and examination fees. There is no any hidden charges.Beside that the caution money is only 5000 rupees for the complete course. There is no any relaxation in fees for any categories. Jharkhand state scholarship and many other Central government approved scholarship is valid in this University.
Campus Life
Overall experience is good for me. Campus Life is very peaceful. Many clubs are there for social interactions. Annual day celebration and annual sports meet are two main events in the campus typically held in December and February respectively (subject to change in some cases). The range of books are wide in the library. One student cantook 2 books per 15 days. Fully automated book issue and return machines are available. Classrooms have smart boards. Students play cricket, football, volleyball and bedminton within the campus. Every department has a unique club impacting the students life.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels is available for both boys and girls in their merits including marks, category and home town distance. Rooms are well furnished accompanied with 3 sets of table and chairs, 3 beds, 3 almirah, 4 led bar lights and 3 fans. Every room have its own balcony. Hostel fees is 6600 per semester and the mess fees is 2650 per month. There are many local PGs around the campus where students can accommodate if wanted.
Admission
The reason behind choosing this college is I found very well behaved faculties and well organised lab system. I rejected many colleges due toh these reasons only. I have applied for Central University of Karnataka, Shrimata Vaishnodevi University, Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, but I found very good atmosphere in Central University of Jharkhand. Admission in this University is only though CUET. Exams. The students get selected in this University in the basis of CUET score only. Integrated UG and PG is the most opted course in this University. Cutoff is relatively low due to it is a newly established University. Overall admission experience was smooth and easy.
Faculty
Faculties are well enough in numbers to provide all the classes for all the batches. They are very much friendly towards the students. Any of the student can reach them directly in their office. Dr. Shushil kumar Shukla, Dr. Bhaskar Singh, Dr Nirmali Bordoli, Dr Anurag Linda, Dr. Manoj Kumar are some of the best faculty from the University, besides them Dr. Pranay Parashar is one of the best faculty in the university. There is no any faculty for dislike. Everyone is doing their best for student welfare. In this University, exams are conducted in semester basis. The question paper is in moderate level. Only 5% students fails to clear the exams. The course curriculum is very much relevant towards the competitive exams like GATE, UGC NET, CSIR NET, and other government exams.
