Course Curriculum Overview

5

It's a CBCS system. This is a new system, it is good because we are always in an environment of studying. There's always a pressure that we have to do our studies in time, it's far better than the old system. The grading system is considered to be better than the conventional marks system and hence it has been followed in the top institutions in India and abroad. So it is desirable to introduce a uniform grading system. This will facilitate student mobility across institutions within and across countries and also enable potential employers to assess the performance of students. To bring in the desired uniformity, in the grading system and method for computing the cumulative grade point average (CGPA) based on the performance of students in the examinations, the UGC has formulated these guidelines.

Internships Opportunities

No, My college does not provide an internship. I have nothing to write about this.

Placement Experience

3.5

Well, till now placements are not so good it is developing so I m sure that placements opportunity will get better after some years, moreover it totally depends on our merit, since it's not a technical course.

College Events

4.5

Many seminars are held throughout the year, regular parents teachers meeting is held, all cultural festivals are held here, there is always a space for the needy, discussion Held for our betterment.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible, it meets the expectations. Of poor students too, Tuition Fees is also less and other books are also available in the library, so anyone can rely on them, those who are not able to buy all the books.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, But teachers always inform us of the incoming scholarships. No scholarships by the college available.

Campus Life

4.5

Your extracurricular activities show college aspects of your personality that your grades and test scores can't. Well, your extracurriculars are where you prove it. There are a few specific things that colleges are always hoping to see in their students' activities.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I don't reside in the hostel so I have nothing to say about that I reside in a nearby pg but I have heard that the hostel facilities are good, the food is good. And all other facilities are available for all those who reside in far off places can get the chance to live in a hostel, the fees are less.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, helpful, the student's council is helpful and responsible for all the activities in college that's it I have no more to say this is just for increasing the no of words I have to write 200 words, omg. I guess I have completed

Exam Structure

2tier exam pattern. Every year consists of 2 semesters, two consecutive (one odd + one even) semesters constitute one academic year. Choice Based Credit System (CBCS): The CBCS provides choice for students to select from the prescribed courses (core, elective or minor or soft skill courses). Course: Usually referred to, as ‘papers’ is a component of a program. All courses need not carry the same weight. The courses should define learning objectives and learning outcomes. A course may be designed to comprise lectures/ tutorials/laboratory work/ field work/ outreach activities/ project work/ vocational training/viva/ seminars/ term papers/assignments/ presentations/ self-study etc. or a combination of some of these.

Admission

I filled an online application for UG application.then my name appeared on the merit list. After seeing my name on the Merit list. I went for the counseling process and did the necessary formalities and then I was admitted.

Faculty

5

My college faculty is very good. Especially the faculty of my department, our HOD is a very hard working man, works the whole day for the college's betterment. He always looks forward to our requests, all the teachers of our dept. are always ready to answer our questions. They never get irritated or never insult us. I think I could not have got this type of faculty in any other college.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered for such roles ranges between ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package offered to a BSc student is around ?4 LPA, depending on skills and specialization. Overall, around 15–20% of BSc students get placed through campus drives, and many students rely on off-campus opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.

* It's all about practical knowledge, we are getting from this course and another aspect is if you wants to make your career in research or lecturer then you should go for it. *No changes required in teaching methods but if college will provide hostel facilities and campus requirement drive, then it will better for candidates.
