Course Curriculum Overview
The case based study at the IBS Hyderabad was one of the most motivating factors to take up the course. These cases were from the Harvard Business School reviews and more. The cases give us the real time life experience of companies and managers making the course more practical
Internships Opportunities
The college does offer internship opportunities in case the candidates wish to avail it or they can also apply for the self intership plans. The interships vary from stipend to no stipend depending on the organisations.
Placement Experience
ibs hyderabad has a decent placement departments with decent number of placement officers.Our batch faced few issues due to demonitisation but somehow the college was able to provide placement to majority of the students in the year 2017 including me.
Fees and Financial Aid
I completed my MBA in Marketing and Human Resources from IBS Hyderabad in 2017. The final fee structure was INR 1500000 at that time, which included tution fee, mess charges, hostel fee, registration fee and more
Campus Life
IBS Hyderabad has multiple clubs run by the students for overall personality development of the students. There are 34 student clubs ranging from Marketing, Advertising, Operations, Finance, Sports, Dance, Photography and more. The campus is also equipped with library, seminar halls, computer labs, sports grounds, swimmimg pool and more. The college also host annual functions club-wise, sports annual meets and alumni meet ups for the betterment of social lives of students.
Hostel Facilities
Each MBA student is given a separate room. The boys and the girls hostels are different. The campus has two mess which serves both veg and non beg meals on the designated days. The hostel premises are also cleaned up the housekeepers on the daily basis.
Admission
I took CAT exam and applied to many colleges that offered MBA. Picking IBS Hyderabad over other colleges was a better choice because of the kind of methodology the college offers, the campus, the faculty and more.
Faculty
We had a class of 75 students. Faculty at IBS Hyderabad were really approachable in terms of classroom doubts as well as in case we needed any kind of guidance or life lessons. Each student was provided with a faculty mentor apart from the faculty who were teaching them on the very first day of the college. As far as exams were concerned we had both computer based based exams as well as pen and paper exams.
Interview Experience
There is the entrance exam for admission to IBS Hyderabad followed by the Group Discussion and Personal interview. Only the candidates who qualify the BITSAT Test or meet the Cutoff of any of the accepted exam are called for the further process. The total number of candidates during my GD were 8 and the topic was Smart Cities.
