A prestigious institute

The only negative point is that it lacks A good Structure and building. The college is in small area but parking place is very good and efficient. But if we talk about study and placements, it is much better than many other Colleges in North India. It is Autonomous as well as UGC accredited and NBA accredited.

Course curriculum is a very effective one. Core subjects such as strength of materials, theories of machines and thermodynamics as well carry 4 credits including mechanical vibrations. Exam structue is- Total 100 marks Internal 40 External 60 40 marks include 6 marks of attendence, 24 of sessionals, and 10 of assignments.

Our college provides plenty of College Campus placement drives which carry almost 60 percent of students to the companies. Recruitment process is little bit complicated and it starts with aptitude test followed by Group discussion and personal interview. College also provides many internship facility in many local industries as well as in companies in other states. College also gives facility of stipend to needy and brilliant students.

Events Celebrated in college are: 1. Sports Meet 2. College fest "Anand Utsav" 3. Technical events eg Atharva 4. SAE and ISTE fests 5. Republic day and Independence day 6. Alumni meets 7. Other cultural and technical fests by some NGOs and societies.

Fee structure is feasible and even the hostel fee is also less as compared to other colleges. Tution fee is 30,000 and followed by other expenses with make round about 22,000. Hostel fee per semester is 11,567.

There are many scholarships provided by the college- 1. Bhai Ghanahiya ji Scholarship 2. Australian Sikh Federation Scholarships 3. Centre Government Student loan facility. 4. Fee Concession to the lower caste students and Kashmiri Migrants

Many extra curricular activities like sports, culture, theatre, societies, NCC, NSS, ISTE, SAE, SCIE etc. Sports facility is remarkable and well maintained and big grounds and courts available for practice and A big Open Air theatre is there for the functions within the college. Well maintained labs with all equipments are available in the college.

Hostel infrastructure is not too good. It is not well maintained but in hostels proper ventilation facility is there with good washrooms and gyser and washing machine facility is also there in it. Hostels are old and many doors and windows are damaged.

Alumni network is a very good one and Ex-Students of this college have been placed at top posts in many Companies in private as well as public. College provide facility and study material fo prepration of competitive exams such as GATE, IES etc. Many industrialists have studied from this college and many are also serving in armed and defence forces including navy and Air Force.

I got admission through JEE mains score. I got 40 marks and got mechanical engineering in 1st councelling of the college. Councelling is done by IKJPTU Kapurthla and 2 councellings are there. Registeration fee for each councelling is Rs 2000.

Faculty is excellent one and teachers from many parts of north India are teaching in this college. Faculty is very experienced one and most of them have doctorate degree and they had studied from prestigious institutes all over india even from other countries also.
