Institute of Law, Nirma University : A tour

I choosed Bcom LLB because this couse will help me in corporate field very much. While having bcom in your course curicullum will help you in accounting and other company related work and LLB will give you exposure about legal do's and dont's. Teaching method is quite good but lacks some kind of practical teachings. There are skill lab classes scheduled for us but it willl be more good if skill lab is more practical base apart from theory. Exams' level is pretty much good.

We have to apply for internships from our end and college provide us a list of advocates and companies for which we can apply. Mainly we have drafting and research related work during internships. It varies to lawyers to lawyers and firm to firm.

There are placements from our college but not that much because law is not that kind of profession which pays you very high sum from begining. Students become eligible for campus placement from 9th sem. Report about package is not yet rleased by college but approximately 55 students were placed from last batch.

The year wise fees for bcom llb is rs 3,17,200 which includes tution fees as rs 2,95000, orientation fees as 1200, security deposit 7000, enrollment fee 1000, exam fees 7000, provisional eligibility fee as 1000 and internship and placement fees as rs 5000. This is the fees for general category students but if you tyake admission from nri/nri sponsered category then you have to pay rs 6,34,200 per year. We have scholarships based on merit and merit cum means. Information regarding same is released by university every year. Till last year they provide 100 percent, 75 percent and 50 percent of fees as scholarship to selected students.

Overall experience is quiet good. We have good infrastructure, air conditioned classes, canteen and parking facilities. Clubs are very active in our college. There are apprx 16 clubs/societies in our college. We host our annual fest Aswamedh every year. Sports facilities were quiet good till last year and from 2023 there is renovation of sports ground and sports complex is going on due to which sports is very much affected.

I choose this college because it holds a good rank amongst law colleges and have a strong alumini netwrok and a affordable fees when compared to other private law colleges. I heard about placements of this college, that were also impressive when compared to other colleges. I just focused on nlus after nlus my priority was NIRMA so i don't applied to other colleges.

Faculties are well qualified. Most of them have done their phd and some are doing. They are very much Cooperative and always ready to help us even after college hours. In an semester there are 2 exams. First one is mid semester exam and other is end sem exams. Apart from them you have projects to do for 60 marks.
