Likes

Firstly we are in collaboration with IBM which is a great perk in itself where IBM is our anchor partner and they mentor us and help us in all projects
The faculty is very supportive.They pay attention to each individual and help them grow in their own ways.Focus is to make everything student driven
The opportunities they provide even to first year students including hackathons competitions workshops and so on

Dislikes

The campus has underdeveloped infrastructure which is a bit of an issue
There are less cultural fests and more technical functions

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is actually very relevant to the course.The subjects we study are based on our specialisation only.We do not study chemistry.We have our core specialisation subjects in the very first semester only and they focus on what is more required for the industry.

Internships Opportunities

There are various internship opportunities provided by our college and they support if you get intenrship on your own too.The fact that half year of our coursw will be internship only focuses on how the university helps for internships

Placement Experience

The college is fairly new and we have previous passing batches which were not in association with IBM and therefore we have different aspects of measuring the rate of campus placement.We do have a placement cell we also have startup drives and so on

Fees and Financial Aid

Our overall fees include 1.5 lakh per year.For the students opting laptop too have to pay 1.65 per year.The fees is not increasing.Other fees include the examination fees of 5000 and uniform fees of 3000 and other lab fees amounting to total 15000 extra.There is no specific fee decrement for other castes but the college helps in availing government scholarship for students.The scholarship are for meritorious students depending upon the Sgpa they have achieved in each semester.

Campus Life

The college Life is currently being set up as there were fewer hostellers previously but as the program under IBM is residential it is getting better and there are various clubs and so on.Falsh mobs are also there and it is developing rapidly

The hostel facilities are fair not very excellent and not very bad.All the basic amenities are covered from clean rooms to okay furniture option for Ac rooms and attached washrooms arw also available.Food is fairly fine too

Admission

I had the opportunity to go to other colleges but I chose this one as it was affordable and the best part was it's course structure which attracted me the most and therefore i decided to join this college over others

Our course structure is very unique under the program in association with IBM.In the first two and half years we focus on the theoretical knowledge alongside project based learning and then for half year it is Projects in the campus and after that we have OJD for one year.The faculty to student ratio is good enough for support for each individual

Exploring life at Chandigarh University

Likes

Good and modern campus infrastructure. The university is large, modern with good classrooms, labs, hostels and tec.
Most teachers are knowledgeable, supportive and explain concepts clearly.
The university provides placement drives, training sessions, career guidance and etc.

Dislikes

Large student intake. Due to high number of students, sometimes it can be difficult to get individual attention from faculty.
During peak hours, some areas of the campus can be crowded.
The quality of hostel food is not much satisfying.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Chandigarh University are generally good, with students becoming eligible for campus placements in the later semesters, dependiing on their course. Many companies visit the campus for recruitment, offering roles in IT, engineering, management and other fields. The packages vary by company and profile with some students receiving high packages while others get average entry-level offers. Placement opportunities depend on student skills, academic performance and interview preparation. After completing my degree, I plan to secure a good job in my field, gain practical experience and continue developing my technical and professional skills.

Likes

The most appreciated aspect was the quality of teaching in classroom. There were structured planning for studies and exam preparations.
The campus was peaceful and the college celebrated every cultural event very enthusiatically covering interest of students belonging from various traditional backgrounds across India.
There was wide spread interest both from students and faculty side for promoting extra cirricular activites and talent.

Dislikes

The way a student raises a complain can be improved.
To allot extra hours for extra acirricular activites.

Placement Experience:

Placements are great for tech and core domains. Alomost every students gets to sit in placement following the eligibilty critera. Many students get double placed and there is a placement policy which allows fare chances of placement to every student.

supportive campus environment with the comfortable in the classess
faculty most faculty members are very much supportive and they guide the students in the right way only
events are there in the campus provided by the campus.

Dislikes

limited practical exposure is provided by the campus and also there should be more hand on international events

placements at my college are very very good, as everybody gets the chance to sit for the placements at the same level. we get the placement oportunities at the 6th semster also. in my brancg it is very good

A Vibrant Campus with good learning and great opportunities

class size can be large , it helps every child to interact
academic work is quite high , the schedule may feel hectic especially during examination

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

I like the most about the college the placement criteria and the way built your confidence
Also the hostel is very good and provide food 4 times
The campus explorer is also very nice according to me

Dislikes

Faculty is not soo well had a lit bit inconvenience
Hostel mess food is not good at some time
Placement is decent and average as like other collage

I like my couse btech with computer science because it has high change to geeting high paying jobs and to build a successful career with my opinion they can improve their faculty with higher education qualification

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

All About LTSU

I preferred this university due to its course structure of 3+1 year which is 3 year of study and one year of internship. Also the strength of students in this university is not very much as its a new university and they don't spend much on their publicity the students who have come here is only from mouth to mouth publicity and few are through social media . Before I got to know about this university I also applied for other universities but when I got to know about this university then I cancelled my applications from other universities.
