Course Curriculum Overview

5

I have chosen the course because I am willing to give NEET UG 2025. I saw that the syllabus of NEET UG and Syllabus of the course were similar so I decided to take admission in this course. We do practical experiments everyday. They're all good with their teaching experiences. We get sufficient time to prepare for exams.

Fees and Financial Aid

The 1st year admission fee is 2950 there are no hidden charges no fee for registration The total fees is around 21500 which you can pay within 4 years. You can get SVMCM scholarship worth 18k rupees per year if you've got more than 60% in your 12th scorecard.

Campus Life

5

Freshers Party - once in a year Netaji's Birthday Republic Day Students Week International Cancer Day Inter college Football Competition Teacher's day Children's Day Are celebrated here you can participate in the celebrations. There are many competitions as Singing,Dancing,Poetry,Gymnastics etc.

Admission

Besides Katwa College I have also applied for Kandi Raj College. I got confirmed by the college but there was a small issue with the distance and transport If I got admitted to Kandi Raj College so I would have to take buses or Rickshaws and for my current college I just take train. So distance was an issue and the fees of The college was much more than my current college and I've heard to my friends who admitted to that college saying that there's nothing like Katwa College, You Should go and take admission to Katwa College the faculties of Kandi college are very strict and if you miss one lecture you'll be humiliated in front of everyone so I decided to take admission in Katwa College. The process of admission is easy you can just apply through online portal opened by Government of West Bengal and you have to go to the college for verification of the documents. The Eligibility criteria- 1. You must have to get more than 60% in Boards (12th) 2. Biology subject in your 12th class is compulsory

Faculty

5

There are more than 5 faculties for each department so we can say that ratio of faculty to students is 1:10 . The Faculties of our department are 1. Barnali Mukherjee 2. Tapan Kumar Bera 3. Suvendu Saha 4. Somyadeep etc I personally don't like Tapan Kumar Bera sir because of his rudeness. There are 3 papers in total each semester they're pretty easy to answer They use the worldwide accepted course curriculum.

Other Applied Colleges

Kalyani Mahavidyalaya | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Botany)

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered for such roles ranges between ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package offered to a BSc student is around ?4 LPA, depending on skills and specialization. Overall, around 15–20% of BSc students get placed through campus drives, and many students rely on off-campus opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is very relevant as it provides us an overall knowledge of biology and not dividing it into various sections rather giving us an insight of every aspect of biology. It includes everything such as microbiology, zoology, botany, physiology, molecular biology and so on.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Completely relevant. As the college is autonomous it has its own syllabus. Which matches with the net gate jam exam syllabus. When someone came our college for seminar they strange that we know this much. Exam are quite difficult in 2 months interval.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

Placement Experience:

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

* It's all about practical knowledge, we are getting from this course and another aspect is if you wants to make your career in research or lecturer then you should go for it. *No changes required in teaching methods but if college will provide hostel facilities and campus requirement drive, then it will better for candidates.
