Course Curriculum Overview

4

I am a computer science student. In my first year, all the engineering subjects will be taken including civil, mechanical, biology etc,. From the second year, i had core subjects, and all the subjects are very relevant to the course that i am studying. I even had elective to choose the subjects which i am comfortable with. The grading system is slightly strict when compared to other colleges, but the education is very good. I would rate the frequency and timing of all the exams as moderate.

Placement Experience

4

Companies offer internships from the 3rd year of college, but the placements ofiicially starts from the 7th semester. I am a cse student currently in my 7th semester and i have written many placement exams. I got placed in a company called Tredence for 10 ctc package. The highest package right now is 27 ctc which is provided by amazon and the lowest is 3.2 ctc offered by tcs. 100 percent of the cse students usually get placed during the placements. Personally i plan on working for 2 years and try to get into an iims by writing cat.

Fees and Financial Aid

I will share the fee structure for a single year, which includes two semesters, For the first semester, I paid a total of Rs 94,250 where 75,000 is my tution fees, admission fees is 500, rest all are miscellaneous expenses such as unit test fee, exam fee, breakage fee etc. For the second semester , I paid a total of Rs 89,065 where 75,000 is my tution fees and 10,800 is by bus fees as a day scholar, rest all are miscellaneous expenses.

Campus Life

4

The two cultural events in my college are called daksh and kuruksastra. My college has a three storey library which provides a wide range of books. Each college has a projector. Wifi is also provided for all the laptops of the students. There are university teams for sports such as basketball, football, cricket etc. There are many student clubs in the campus. I was in one called start accelerators where people with start up ideas work together to achieve their dream of opening a startup company.

Admission

I applied to amrita , vit along with sastra. I got admission in both. I did not go to vit because of their very high fee structure and lack of discipline in college. I did not go to amrita because I did not get the required course that I wanted. So i chose sastra. To get admitted in sastra, you have to first fill out the application form. Either you can get admitted through 12th board marks or through jee marks. The whole admission process is done online and it is very comfortable

Faculty

4

The faculties are knowledgable and really friendly. There is a feedback form for each faculty that the students must fill before getting the hall ticket. So, it gives a free will for the students to give feedbacks about the teachers and their behaviour. It helps a lot in mainataining the decorum of the classroom. I liked Raja sir(java) and vijay sai sir( digital system design) because they are really friendly. I dont dislike anyone . In a semester, there will be three internal exams and a semester exam. The two best scores will be taken into account out of the three internal exams.

Other Applied Colleges

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

I preferred to be a day scholar in my hometown

The curriculum is relevant and provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. It prepares students for real-world applications, but more industry projects, practical sessions, and updated teaching methods would help. Exams are generally well-spaced and moderately difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it covers important subjects related to computer science, programming, databases, networking, and emerging technologies. The combination of theoretical knowledge and practical subjects influenced my decision to choose this course. The curriculum provides a good foundation in technical concepts and programming. However, more practical projects, industry-based training, internships, and real-world applications would help students become better prepared for careers and further studies.
