What Students Say

Likes

I liked the ambience of the college and also the fact that it is located in the foothills of trikuta
The environment is very peaceful and is also very affordable
The basic necessities are provides and even there is places to roam

Dislikes

The thing is that the college does not has a night life that is annoying
People here are a little conservative in terms of wearing clothes or anything
They have very least amount of fests and something creative.

Course Curriculum Overview

I have chosen engineering as a course because its a very powerful degreee and also the fact that we develop a critical thinking ability to talk and think of . Obviously it is engineering so students here are taught well and prepared well for real life situations.

Class Size: 66Course Fees: INR 200000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I have paid 2 lac per year and the total fees is 8 lac for 4 years. The tuition fees is 1lac 40 thousand and hostel fees is 20000 and mess fess is28000 rs for per year. The university also provides scholarships for those who are top three in class and has gpa of more than 8.5.

Campus Life

The technical fest held here is titiksha and the cultural fest held is resurgence. The technologies of the classrooms are great and people the social groups are also diverse . We have various clubs here like dance club music club and many more clubs to look forward to.

Admission

I got confirmed admission for this college only and applied also to this college only because I have felt ki maata rani ka bulawa aaya h toh chalte h. Also the ambience of the university is great and people here are very peaceful and loving too

Faculty

The faculty to student ration is 1:2 . The faculty and student relationship is nice . The professors are helpful and very respectful to the children. Exams are taken in yearly basis and has a mid semester exam too.

My opinion about nit

Likes

I like the diversity and culture of college students come from all states each festival is celebrated with fun .
The infrastructure is good providing facilities like library, amphitheatre, auditorium etc.
I like college ground where we can walk and relieve from academics

Dislikes

College infrastructure can be improved in rainy season there is water accumulation at many places , water drainage system should be there .

Placement Experience:

In 7th semester student become eligible for placement. The companies visited are L &T for civil which is big company and select many students, jsw for mechanical and increff , paypal , microsoft, visa ,make my trip for IT and CSE

Likes

One thing I liked about my college is Huge campus area.
Other thing l liked about my college is good infrastructure
Another thing I liked about my college is well experienced faculty

Dislikes

The thing I disliked about my college is delay in your any complain

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements in 8th semester. Companies like L&T construction, Ambuja cement, tata , wipro, jio , Berger, infosys, IBM and many more visit the college. Highest package is around 17 LPA and average package is around 5 LPA . Almost 30 percent students get placement. My plan is to get off campus placement.

Likes

College's weather is too pleasant and the air quality is also good
The environment is also very good and also the view is very nice
Seniors are very friendly in college and also the college has strict punishment for ragging.

Dislikes

The hostel food is not upto the level that a student expect.
The facility sometimes does not able to connect with Students
Hostels are very far away from the department and students have to move very far from the hostel

Placement Experience:

The placement of our college is Average and the students are eligible in 7 semester for placement. If the student has any backlog in any of the semester they can't sit in the college placement and also it has minimum criteria of 6.5 cgpa. The percentage of students getting placement is very low sadly

A comprehensive Review

Likes

Firstally i like in my college is hostel it is located in college campus .
The second thing like in my college is campus area located in between mountain.
the last thing is about one teacher he help me in everything.

Dislikes

The first thing i do not like is transport in my college it is the major problem in my college.
The second thing is there are no proper lectures everyday one of them faculty is absent
The last thing is not a proper medical facielities

Placement Experience:

The placement at my college are fairly strong, with a focus on proving opportunities for student in both technical field and non-technical fields. various reputed companies visit our campus for placement like TCS, infosys, and many more.The highest package aroun INR 40 LPA. the majority of the offers are for cybersecurity. My plan is for business after the degree.

Nice and Unbiased review of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Katra

I have applied in many colleges and I also get seat in them but the only reason I use assembly because the college is close from my home. Just because of travelling purposes I choose this college. The admission process in our college is not very difficult. The only way to get admission in the college by csab counselling and by college internal counselling.The cut off of the branch is 60 percentile for general students.
